I find the build quality to be fine really. I don't think it has to feel cheap just because it's made in India. Usually things feel cheap because the materials and build tolerances are cheap. But if the parts are quality and the assembly is a bit on the cheap side you won''t feel it as much. I'm...
They dislike it entirely because of their bias towards Harleys and the sunk-cost fallacy, that's my guess.
Anyway, I like the looks of the Spyder. it's like a roadworthy Snowmobile and should be considered as such. Though, as someone who is able to lanesplit I think all wide cycle-esque...
Statistics are made to lie, always be critical.
You should really fix that dead left channel though, render the video i mono or something. That should do the trick.
It was a fluke, because it didn't happen again for a while even though I rode even faster at other places. It's a GoPro btw
Might have been the aerodynamics of having the camera facing forwards. Like when I look straight ahead it works fine but when I turn my head the pressure could focus on the...
If I didn't have other plans for the weekend on top of watching the racing I'd volunteer as track-crew and bring my camera in there. Maybe next time. Or sometime when they have training.
Pics from the first rounds of SuperSport600 and Superbike Norwegian Championships. I got a lot of video with great sound too but it will be a little while as I have a bit of a backlog on content these days.
The location is Vålerbanen in Norway.
A few weeks ago, but I fired up the camera, started recording, proceeded to go 140kph on the motorway and the wind turned the naked camera off by pushing the power button. Why does GoPros even have the power button on the front anyway?
I have the same issue and I realize the problem is in my mic-adapter on my GoPro, or in the GoPro itself. As a solution I just fill the left channel with the audio from the right one. In Premiere the effect is just called "Fill left with right". I'm sure whatever software you use has a similar...
That's fine, I just find some things too mundane or trivial to make a thread for but still interesting enough for a random update. But if you have considered it I'll leave it at that.
With a cap on image size of course. But I'd be more inclined to post updates when I can attach an image, just links are a bit boring and not as engaging for whoever reads the update.
If storage and traffic is a concern, limit the imagery to embeds using BBCode or something.
I recently heard that the BMW K1600 Gran America with all the bags also has the 100mph limiter. The reason for thus was supposedly that with all the bags and weight, it gets unstable at such high speeds, and the same is the case for Harley bikes, but maybe more so with Harley due to their style...
I used to make a point of checking the angle with the app, but now my Hero3 is getting old and I can't connect for some reason. Now I have to guess and half the time it's usable. If you can't check the angle in advance, make sure to find a good angle and mark it on your mount in such a way that...
I currently run a '06 Yamaha FZ6, nice bike I won't grow out of for a couple of years
I just tested both a Yamaha Tracer 900 and a Zero FXS. And I'd like to have both or similars in my garage in the future, probably at the same time for touring and commuting.
Not sure? With 40k USD you could have a Husky Vitpilen, a Honda Grom, an Indian Scout and a BMW GS1200, all brand new, or at least 3 of those when considering dealer markup and other costs. For me the notion that at least 1/4th of those 40k's are all brand and identity rather unappealing. But...
How many stickers are you printing? how many do you plan to give away after passing 1k? Are you going to try selling them as well? Personally I find 1/50 to be reasonable.
Man this winter has killed me with delaying my season, After seeing @MotoAdventureMe's Mic Shootout I got the Audio Technica mic and boy did it transform my audio quality. So thanks for that.
I need to experiment a bit with my format to see what works going forward. I want to try doing several...
I don't think you really can get away from that with just a different mount, in the end mounts have to be rigid to support the weight of the camera. Generally one would mount the camera as far away from the engine as possible but if the Harley shake is as severe as it sounds your best bet is to...
Use the cut tool (c) to separate the bit you want slowed down from the rest. Then right click on the bit in the timeline and select "time/duration", then you type "50%" in the speed bit and boom, it also slows down/deepens the sound for added entertainment.
Harleys tends to appear horribly inefficient to me. No wonder the brand don't work on younger generations who seem to be more focused on specs when they are serious about riding. Competing American brands like Indian doesn't look much better with engine specs being just about the same with...
If we all had the same goal, I think we'd all be screwed. Though I'm pretty sure just about everyone was like "hmm, I talk to myself anyway" in the beginning.
As far as products go, all I want is a GoPro shaped camera with a mic-jack and a decent sound processor. Too much to ask for, I know.
