What do motovlogers really want?

So I've been wondering for some time. What are we all looking for with this whole motovlog thing.

By that I mean what kind of products are we after, or where do we want out little YouTube channels to go to.

I just like making videos and watching other people's. I like the interaction with people from different backgrounds and countries. I hope to make friendships across the globe and feel like I am doing so.

As for judging how well my channel is doing, I was comparing it to a computer game with my shift colleague this eve, with the gaining subs and views as levelling up my character. I'd lose heart possibly if I was getting (relatively) low views on my vids which is what happened with my airsoft/gaming channel.
I am not running a channel with the aim to make money from it or off the back of it, just doing it because I enjoy it! :)
What about yourself?

If we all had the same goal, I think we'd all be screwed. Though I'm pretty sure just about everyone was like "hmm, I talk to myself anyway" in the beginning.

As far as products go, all I want is a GoPro shaped camera with a mic-jack and a decent sound processor. Too much to ask for, I know.

As a consumer, I expect interesting stories, and glimpse to rest of the world.
I don't talk to myself. I just listen to that deep calming voice, in my head, narrate the story. So why did I become a creator? I just wanted the fame. I am pretty sure, that when I get more subs and views, ladies will be flocking around me.

edit: to my girlfriends greatest grief

I create YouTube videos for a few reasons:
  • I enjoy watching other's create, so I am giving back to the community
  • I like having a little community of people who are into the same stuff I am
  • I would like to earn a little money to buy better A/V gear, computer and software. Would like to have a self sustaining hobby.

I record my rides mainly for myself, to watch again and see what I've done wrong. For example, I watched one of my rides of last year, and I laughed at some of my mistakes.
Youtube was a free place to load my dump at first, but when I saw that a hundred subscribers were watching that dump, I decided to make that place a decent looking channel.

Nothing much really, just enjoying the ride, doing some video edits, sharing it with friends and anyone else who wants to see my crap.

Sometimes I re-watch some of the older ride videos and recall those good old times. I think that's the most satisfying part. Memories.

Kidding, what I want out of this is really just to make some friend with similar interests and eventually have a large enough following that I can hold meets and rides.
What I get out of it right now is that its an outlet for my creativity.

I started just recording my rides to highlight some of the poor driving round near me. I then started watching the clips back to see if I could spot any erorrs in my riding. Safe to say that both of these have worked. Was uploading all sorts to my channel at the time and once I chnaged helmets I changed camera and thought I'd give it go.

So far so good. Sure the views, likes, comments etc aren't in the worlds highest, I average 20 - 25 views per, a couple of likes and comments but come in here and eveybody always talking. As long as you enjoy what your are doing just keep doing it

In the beginning I just wanted to document my visits to the track, my dogs, my cars, my bike before I would sell. Then I got my first payment... I watch so much YouTube, I felt like I should also participate and it didn't hurt to get paid again before the demonitization. If I can help somebody out with a vid I'm happy, the extra pocket change when it was coming helped me feel like I wasn't totally wasting my time.
