Isn't the point, of 120fps, to give the ability for more smooth slo-mo video? I mean, does anyone in this thread even have a monitor, that is capable of 120fps refresh rate?

I have 100Hz I believe.
The 120fps is designed for slow-mo but that is pretty useless if the rest of the video run at normal speed is unwatchable due to being compressed so badly. It basically means you can only do slow-mo with it which is not really that useful as a motovlogger.
I did a test today at 1080/60 to see if it is any better than the Hero 5 at that setting once nerfed by YouTube. Otherwise I will probs start recording my vlogs at 2.7k 60.

I see that 8s has external mic support. Do the internal mic turns off when external mic is connected?

I have Gitup G3 Duo and it has external mic support but the internal mic keeps runnings even when external mic connected and picks up all the unwanted noise...there is no workaround for it atm :/
