Hi people as the title says, this is a thread for you to tell the forum what you have done to your bike today.

Whether it was nothing, cleaned it, replaced the tyres, thrashed it to within an inch of its life, sat in the garage touching it inappropriately, whatever it was let us know.

Cheers Zed.

Well, wasn't exactly today but yesterday I finally put the last bits back on the bike after a rebuild and had a test ride for the first time in about 3 months. It was great but cold...

Can't wait for Spring...
BRILLIANT it is so rewarding to ride the bike after working on it for a while.I always feel I have a stronger connection with the bike after maintenance or refurbished work.

True, but I would prefer if a professional could do it all so I'm not afraid something will fall off or explode when I ride it :eek:
I do everything myself and when riding I am save in the knowledge that every nut and bolt is the exact required torque.

Not belittling bike mechanics but I have difficulties trusting anyone else with my bike.

I can relate to that too. I usually prefer to do things myself but I know a good mechanic that I trust and he has WAY more experience than me so I would prefer him to work on the bike. Unfortunately I can't afford his skills on everything so I do what I can ;)

I take my bike to the same garage every year for its mot and if the bike needs anything done the mechanic know it will be on a parts only basis.

Truth be know we have built up a great rapport and if a repair exceeded my skill set it is him I would call on.

I do nothing but erm clean it and oil changes, don't really have the know how to do the major repairs, however I let my bother fix as much as he can, which last year turned out to be clutch, gear levers, engine casing, and fairing subframe, so clearly he is a lot better than me

Put mine away for 3 weeks while I'm away for christmas :( this'll be the longest I haven't been out on the bike since getting my license! Just gave her a quick clean, oiled the chain and stowed her away in the garage

Nice! I think you beat me with the Winter riding!

Not on topic, did anyone see Marc Marquez winter riding on a ski slope on the Honda RCV213?

Hahah you didn't have to admit to that, could have taken all the street cred for gnarly snow riding haha where was that snow then in the UK?
