    Just a quick update. Have anyone tried replicating the tabs on 3D printer with ABS filament :) and then epoxy them in place? In theory this should work (and I'm considering a 3D printer anyways)

    You CAN repack them with a hand riveter that cost 5 quid, don't watch the youtube vids that say you must have an air riveter etc.

    Speaking from a high mileage point of view, I never ever cleaned a chain. I used an expensive chain lubricant every ride... covered the lube in wax too in winter. Always tensioned my chain...
