What Have You Done To Your Bike Today?

Just added a non-crap signal/light switch to my WR450 SM, replacing the previous crap version that was nearly impossible to find the "off" position for the signals and was slowly driving me mad.

Next: Replacing the dead fuel pump on my Duc, which naturally decided to pack it in two seconds after I filled the tank.

I'm working on stripping my tank down (4 layers of paint, one of which is brushed on rustoleum...thickly applied). I needed to grind down the bondo but one of the guys at the shop was worried about me blowing everyone up. So I convinced another fella to film while I hit the open tank (empty of course) with a propane torch..... The results were, as always, unimpressive. Video is loaded up though. I've done 4 coats of a chemical stripper and still have most of the original paint still on there...sucks

Just remember, most dents in the back of the tank are from guy parts hitting it whe the forward momentum is suddenly stopped by something like a car pulling out in front of you...and you hitting said car! I have a friend who lost one of his, ummm...parts, in said accident. This bike was a rebuilt title bike with no documented history...but I can kinda guess what happened!

I attempted to swap throttle bodies on the SV. Ended up with a broken intake manifold. Awesome day.

Sanded tank, put stripper on tank, realized stripper didn't work on whatever freak paint the previous owner put on or the previous 5 coats plus bondo... Busted out the aircraft remover only to see that there is apparently no aircraft used in this paint cause it didn't budge...tried to sand but the goo quickly took the adhesive off the grit so I was left with paper paper but sand was now in the goo...got mad, went out to find a puppy to kick but none were around (ok, I would never really kick a puppy) went to Home Depot and was told they had nothing that would work so I purchased some kleen strip gel remover anyway, mostly to spite the store employee...brushed it on and bammmm! Ate that crap right up!!! The two dents I had then suddenly turned into about 12 but the stripper ate into the bondo and it flaked right off. So I went back to Home Depot just to tell them how smart I was and then buy some bondo to replace the bondo I stripped out! Now for some filler, some sanding and some quick spray paint. After it cures I will wrap the tank. All this while recovering from the flu and pneumonia...and I somehow got chicken pox again!!! I'm looking forward to a better week next week ;)

Played around with some reflective scraps. I kinda like it but I'll have to get a larger piece and do it seamless. All I had was 1.5" wide strips. 3M 680 white reflective done with no heat and a craft knife. Fun little project that I'll record when I do it the right way ;)

Installed new manifold. Installed throttle bodies. Adjusted throttle cables. Adjusted secondary throttle sensor. Adjusted and lubed chain.

And made videos of all of it.

ECU on my 916 decided today was its last day of firing injectors and other generally useful things. Fortunately I had a spare. This spring has been rather problematic for the old girl.

Put the plate on mine today, took some drilling to be able to mount it. Finally being able to ride, only to discover that my GoPro mic adapter is gone...

I had to find a nice spot to take pictures of my new tank pads :p

There was a landslide on the pass though so I couldn't go all the way through. The video will be very funny though!

today I have left my bike in a nice dry garage as the rain has come back after a lovely day yesterday :(

Since I can't post any photos because they are all too large, and the forum restricts me from linking to photobucket, I'm just going to type what I did :(
Yesterday I've mounted my Hans Bo CREE U5 LED spots, which have those 3 modes.
Don't bother trying to remove the 3 modes, because you'll break it.
I've learned it the hard way :/

That sucks bud. But have you tried the app Photo Resizer that's what I use from them to time.

I had the knock in my steering fixed;). Now I'm washing it for a show tonight why not lol.
