What Have You Done To Your Bike Today?

I'm stealing this idea from another forum, because I feel as if it creates nice conversation and the occasional post from time to time.

The concept is simple...do something to your bike today and want to share? Post it here. For example: I changed the oil today / gave the bike a nice wash / I beat my girl up on some back roads. Anything will do. Have a picture? then post that as well!

Doesn't have to be something you did that exact day, could be a few days old.

I will start:




I changed out the spark plugs on my F4i because the bike randomly did not want to start anymore. Now it's running much better.

The plugs looked like this. I believe it's because the previous owner did not take the bike out much, and only let it idle in the garage all the time.

iv put new reflectors on my bike as 1 fell off and couldent get anuther to match took all of 2 mins

The Deauville goes up for sale. I will miss the old girl, but onwards and upwards!

I installed my bar end mirrors (yesterday though)

And before anyone asks, I did remove the OEM mirrors

Got round to fitting this...

Took me ages to unplug the oxygen sensor.... simple little clip but didn't have a clue how it worked!

Tested it on the commute in and all good with no leaks but needs adjustment as the fairing is just touching.

Its a twin and with the baffle in, so a throaty roar. Just what I wanted for filtering. Already noticed the difference with cars moving over

It sounds MAD! still nothing on my old Evo lol. I am kinda addicted to how it sounds with the baffle out only slightly illegal, that's OK right?... Right?

being a chepo system (the cheapest I could find) it doesn't fit properly so there's a tiny exhaust leak on the mid pipe connection which just adds a distinctive note

Not much but I sand blasted and cleared coated my fuel cap. Looks way better now I think. Old one was looking rather ratty and flaky.

So I decided to do rip it apart before it gets too nice out.

Been looking at it the last couple of days thinking it need a bit more carbon fibre as well.

Some screws wiggled loose in my mirrors and made them all floppy. Not very useful on the highway. I took them apart and put them back in with some loctite. No more floppy mirrors. I was thinking about eliminating them totally and going with bar ends, but my turn signals are in the mirror and they function rather well so I kept them.

Got a replacement throttle body assembly waiting at the house and a front fender arriving today. Exhaust and rear stand are coming later this week! I'm pretty excited!

The other day I finished removing some more of the terrible spray paint from the frame done by the PO. So both sides of the bike mostly match now. Bled the clutch and front brakes and wiped her down with some detailer. Waxed the tank to help prevent fuel spillage from damaging the cheap respray I did.
