What’s your dream bike?

Just for fun, what’s everyone’s dream bike? Have you ever gotten to own or ride one? Did it live up to your expectations?

When Ducati launched the 1098 Streetfighter S I was in love with it's aggressive looks and had to have one.

The engine on the bike was ballistic and I loved the looks, but it needed more carbon and I found the footpeg on the right hand side really uncomfortable so money was thrown at it

and I tried getting my brain around it's handling traits on a trackday at Brands Hatch

Unfortunately, like most fantasies, the reality was far from the expectation, and I just couldn't get on with the handling of the bike so traded it in, which was a really tough decision but but got me a brand new Moto Guzzi V7 and a brand new Kawasaki ZX636R, both were not even close to the bike the Streetfighter was supposed to be on paper but the 636 turned out to be the best sportsbike I've ever ridden (although I sold that on with only 2k miles due to lack of use) and the V7 I still have, which is on paper one of the worst bikes I've owned in semi recent years but was far more fun than anything I've ever had.

The V7 turned into a dream bike project and after a short break from riding I built my dream "custom bike" out of it.

This was the V7 when in standard form:

and how it is now....

and on a trackday, which was so much more fun than the Ducati ever was even though it has over 100bhp less punch! :D

I’m sorry to hear that the dream wasn’t as good as you expected, sounds like you found a couple of new ones along the way though! :)

I think the current bikers are possibly the last to have any serious development in the internal combustion engine so will be the "last" bikers as we know them. With only 22yrs left of fossil fuelled motorcycles we are endgame, and have IMO a duty to enjoy the current tech as much as we possibly can.... My generation have rose tinted visors for 2-stroke GP bikes and mental road bikes.... the current riders on 50cc bikes will grow up to see the 4-stroke engine vanish too and will look back on them the same way I do on my previous KTMs and Yamaha RDs..... the future is kinda cool and interesting.... I can't wait, but will massively miss what we currently have available to us! :-)

Ducati really need to bring back the big engine street fighter, I'd get one.

Closest "dream" bike I've owned was a 916. Waited months for it to arrive, loved it, traded it on a 998 when they came out. Should have kept the 916.

Current dream bike. Arch KRGT1. Just because

Dream bike I might actually buy MV Agusta Brutale Dragster RR.

Nothing really interests me outside of my V Rod. I waited so long to buy one I cant think about owning another bike.

It really is my dream bike.

One bike I do like the look of and interests me is the H2. Total flip on the Harley but I would definitely have one of them next to it in the garage.

The colour scheme looks great on that bike, I want one too aha

I don't have a dream bike as such. But if I could get a bike with and not have to spend anything would have to be a Royal Enfield Himalayan. Love the looks of it but the engine is where it is flawed.

I took one for a demo ride the other day, it was a lot of fun, but think that a 500 or 650 engine would be a huge upgrade and make it worth my money. Tough to even get through an intersection at safe speeds with that 410 thumper.

I'd love to get the new Harley Road King Special. I've ridden one and it is the most perfect setup from the dealer for my body type. It was the most comfortable bike I have ever been on and the feel of that M8 engine just moved my soul.

Still searching for somthing that the straight line speed scares the shit out of me thats when ill have found it i think

Too many to name really lol. I guess at the top of the list is a 1945-ish Indian and a Kucklehead For a current bike I'd like a Harley Road King. I also would like a Ural

Triumph Daytona 675R, tiny, great handling and an awesome soundtrack.
That said, I really wouldn't mind a cafe racer for the 'take it easy' days, Royal Enfield Continental GT.
VFR800 for taking the Mrs out...
Do we have to pick just one??
