What Have You Done To Your Bike Today?

Painted front fender, rattle-can Satin Black over rattle-can self-etching primer... utility paint for a utility build.

Changed front bearings, found a front brake issue...rebuilt the caliper, polished the brake pistons and am eagerly awaiting the new pads. There was grease all up in the pads..tends to not stop as good that way ;)

Got the front pads in today, took way too long until I realized that someone squeezed my brake thus not allowing full opening of the area between the pads... And my we fuel pump came in! Do I ride tomorrow or wait one more day and put the pump on first (it is giving me some issues so I'll probably be distracted all day at work...trying to make my Taurus feel like a bike :( )

I've sat and waited all day for my shift shaft to arrive so I can install my quick shifter on the weekend.

Looks like its not going to happen this weekend. GRRRRR

Removed the intake baffles from the snorkels that run from the air-box to the throttle body.
They're in there to limit the amount of power the bike makes as it's restricted to a certain power/weight ratio.

Popped them out to open up the top end of the RPM range a little. Bike feels at least 25% faster in any gear and the snappy throttle has gone away! :D

Still have a surging issue at constant throttle...guess I'll take a look at it a bit further than the carbs, coils and fuel...maybe a short somewhere (I hate electrical stuff)

It's still early here but I am planning on cleaning the bike, adjusting the chain and doing the tyres and then I am hoping my new shorty levers will come, if they do, they are going on too!

didn't ride it! ok, had the timed tire trifecta over 30 hours. had a flat in the work van, a flat in my car going home then a flat on my bike heading home last night sometime. what the heck is going on? the bike felt a bit squirrelly the last couple blocks and when I went out and did my pre ride inspection, the dang tire is off the bead on one side! valve stem is good, no objects in the tire, no cuts in bead....where did my air go?

Very thankful that it didn't cause me to crash on the way home yesterday!

well, after the last tire issue I took the rear into a friend at a tire shop. we inflated her to 80 psi and put it in the dunk tank (I couldn't find any signs of leaks with a water/soap solution). After a couple minutes a tiny bubble formed on the rim at a spot the paint had been scratched so we broke the bead and took a look. I had a small tear in the rubber on the bead at that spot from going ape crap on the tire irons while installing it. Took some tire bead sealer he had there, slapped some all the way around the rim...and the thing holds air like a boss now! Lesson learned and I don't have to get a new tire! this one only had 800 miles on it and with tuition and the kids wanting to eat a few times a day, you know.... ;)

Left it in the garage. :(

Too busy stabilising selfie stick footage in after effects for the next video! :)
