I did some quick maintenance. Changed the oil filter and oil, adjusted and lubed up the chain, and checked the tire pressure. I am pretty bad at checking tire pressure though but because I ride every day, I can usually tell if they are a few psi low by feel. I'm shopping for a front tire since I noticed that I am at the wear bars. The current tire lasted me two years and just hit 20k miles, so it's time.

Finally I installed the usb phone charger on my ninja. I already had the battery to charger hook up I just been lazy. Just the usb dock, and some 3m super velcro and walla.

Took her up some mountains and met a subscriber:

I'm off for a group ride with the MC later and probably going to hit the three big mountains in my area.

Life's good :D

Going to DE for a meet up the 29th ( this coming sunday) so saturday Ill give her a quick wipe down, check all the fluids, tires, tire pressure and lube the chain up. Should be a good time.

I polished up my downpipes after a long salty winter of commuting. They're now a lovely shiny golden colour. Which is odd, because I expected them to be silver!!

Stuck on a radiator guard, front and rear bobbins, tank protectors, engine covers and gave her a darn good clean in all the nitty gritty areas. The chain was a pain to bring up shiny again.

I would have added shorty levers and crash bungs but I can't find my levers and I need a bigger allen key for the bungs!

I changed the tires on my dirt bike. I forgot how much of a pain in the ass that job is. Only took me 3 hours total. o_O

It took me 5 hours when I did the tires myself on my street bike...never again haha. I'm just gonna bring the wheels in to the shop from here on out most likely.

Whoa, whoa, more than 2hrs to change a tire? It should take maybe an hour and a half max (can't say i'm not guilty of it, but I was also changing it in 25*f temps)! Practicing helps, but the proper tools, like nice tires spoons and tons of lubrication is even better. Leave the tire in the sun or warm it up inside so it's pliable, too.

Lots of good videos on how to do it, maybe i'll make one for the everyday guy. I don't use any special tire changers. A bucket, nice spoons and plenty of muscle.

I worked on my bark busters for my handlebars today. Took them in to work, used one of our metal benders and custom shaped them for my style of bars.

I was just out of practice; I haven't changed a tire myself in a decade and figured I should try again. The first tire took two hours and the second took an hour. It didn't help that the tires that I was changing out were from 2008 and very stiff. Would definitely do again though.

Old tires will do that. Street bike tires are pretty hard, but doable. Lubrication is generally the biggest issue. The hardest part for me is putting a tube in. I have a bad habit of pinching tubes :(

MOT failed, like really failed, so this month... replaced rear shock, front wheel, rear indicators, headlights, horn and some hose clips and jobs a good'en :)
