What Have You Done To Your Bike Today?

Whoa, whoa, more than 2hrs to change a tire? It should take maybe an hour and a half max (can't say i'm not guilty of it, but I was also changing it in 25*f temps)! Practicing helps, but the proper tools, like nice tires spoons and tons of lubrication is even better. Leave the tire in the sun or warm it up inside so it's pliable, too.

Lots of good videos on how to do it, maybe i'll make one for the everyday guy. I don't use any special tire changers. A bucket, nice spoons and plenty of muscle.

I worked on my bark busters for my handlebars today. Took them in to work, used one of our metal benders and custom shaped them for my style of bars.

The tires were 6 years old and I didn't have the proper tools...probably not the proper technique either. I've done it a couple times, neither was easier than the other. I found someone in town who does it all the time for his track bikes and would only charge me like $15 for both. :D

Tired of waiting for replacement indicator so bodged my knackered one with new bulb, epoxy a bit of card and cable tie. Can I call it a rat bike now?

Locked it up at back of my garage, cover on it, car in front of it. Waiting for its new Austrian owner to send me the money, and send over some couriers from Hungary or Slovenia. It's not stress-free this international sale malarkey

Got my oil pan changed on one bike, should get it back next week I hope and replaced the regulator/ rectifier on the New old bike today.
Going to test it a little later.

I did nothing to my bike today, yet I felt the urge for a 50 mile ride, just to see how it was after the 120 mile ride yesterday...

My bike has gone from this;

Well I was going to trade my Speed Triple for a Harley Street Bob and couldn't do it...I just can't get rid of my speedy. So I kept it and very shortly I'll be putting all the accessories I took off to trade it, back on.

Rode to Manchester in the pissing rain, had my 600 mile service done, and rode back in the pissing rain. Bought some overpriced stuff I probably will never use.

I have officially decided that there is nothing that can be done to make "the ugly bike" any better looking and improve its value...thus, my only option is to try to make it uglier! She already has at least 4 coats of spray bomb paint from previous owners, maybe another one is in order. Maybe I'll just go old skool kool and fur it out. I'm pretty close to Vlogging, camera came in and I'm setting up mounts maybe tonight. Now if I can just get that tropical storm to come up and go around Louisville instead of a direct hit!
