What Do You Like About Your Current Bike Compared To Your Old One?

My old bike was a Honda CBR 250R
-The fairings while not as attractive did a better job keeping wind off my legs.
-The seat's shape and riding position were more comfortable off the bat.
-Lighter, some stuff was easier to work on.
My Newer Bike is a Ninja 300
-bigger gas tank, much easier to fill up
-The cosmetic styling and minimal logos are on point.
-It feels more stable at speed, and in wind.

Ofcourse the 300 makes more power, but I was really not completely unhappy with the power available on the CBR. I rode it on the highway and it did better than I expected. Which is why I stayed in the same class of bike.
I even had it up to an indicated 90mph. I just had to work really hard for it, and I couldn't hold that speed. The bike felt really twitchy, and I felt like I had to slow down to maintain control.
The Ninja engine is just so much more fun and eager to wind up. I have taken it over 100 mph and I still feel like I am in control.

Current bike is an SV650S - my previous bike was a Burgman 250. I like it because it's a proper bike and doesn't crush my soul every time I sit on it.

That said, most of my previous bikes have been inline 4 sports bikes, Daytona 600 (yes, they made a 4 cylinder model), Ninja 600, CBR, YZF - what I like about the SV over those bikes is that it's much more practical for daily commuting, cheaper to run, easier to squeeze through traffic and generally better for using as a daily go-to-work bike. But at the same time it's a lot sexier than the Burgman ever was (even though that thing was ultimately perfect as a commuter bike).

Old Bike: Honda CBR600RR

New Bike: Aprilia Tuono RSV1000

Pros:
COMFORTABLE ASF!!
Seating position
TORQUE!
Torque
also has a lot of torque
Ride height, fits me much better than any other bike I've owned
Very good headlights
Classic Look
Can wheelie easily but I'm too scared to try.
Get lots of compliments on the bike. Not many of them around
Lots of character

Cons:
clutch is quite heavy on my hand
"Low" top speed +/- 240kph or so
Parts can be expensive

New bike: 2014 Harley Davidson FLHTK (Ultra Limited)

Old bike: 2009 Harley Davidson FLTHCU (Ultra Classic)

I like the linked braking system, the new saddlebag hinge/catch setup, Nav in the radio system, and Bluetooth connectivity with the phone.

I HATE the engine heat - the twin collet system is for cr@p and takes away the glove boxes in the fairing lowers. I had to replace the coolant pump at 31k miles.

I HATE where they put the PTT button for the CB. Have to be on cruise to be safe when pushing it with your right thumb.

I HATE the dam catalytic convertor is at my right foot. That thing gets too freaking hot in the summer. The 2009 had no cat in the header and you could get CVO mufflers with or without them. The mufflers are far enough back where it would not make much discomfort from the heat.

Also I had to flip the passing lamps over because the Daymaker LED light pattern is a half circle otherwise.

old bike 1982 honda magna: 6th gear and under 600 lbs

new bike 2011 rocket 3: more power and fits my 6'4" 265lbs frame better.

A VERY EASY QUESTION TO ANSWER!

What I like about my current bike:
I have it now

What I don't like about my old bike:
I never had it

Basically I got one bike only so far :D

did you also mention torque?

Although I still have my previous bikes, thought I'd add to this thread now I have The Triumph Street Triple R 765 (low).

Refinement; the build quality (seems so far) to be fantastic and really well thought out. The engine; it is smooth (in the revs I can use currently) and will be so much faster then my other bikes. The seat height is perfect for my stumpy legs too! :-)

The Triple engine is fantastic, although hugely disappointing with the Tiger Sport I tried, didn’t like that the power and torque weren’t available at low revs in higher gears. The 675 and 800 triples were much better at that, despite having 20hp less.

Current bike is in one piece. Old bike was taken out by a left turning vehicle. New bike is bigger, faster, better storage, and with more safety features. No regrets (except losing my first bike).
