What Action Camera You Have, What Do You Want, What Did You Have?

Site owner, lovely and adorable
i think I can guess the answers but lets see what people are using, action camera wise

Use this format please

  • Main camera is

Sena 10c. For me it's just easy to use everyday and practical for everyday use.

Downside is that it's quite hard to switch between settings on the device and a pain in the arse to use with a mac, without taking the SD card out into the mac. The other thing is the iPhone app is crap, no live viewer. However the music and call recording is the nuts.

  • Camera I want
A new pair of pivotheads. Downside is it died after 12 months and they're
Not cheap. I loved them because I can get away with being on track and 'vlog' from my helmet as helmet and tank cameras are banned

  • I own a GoPro 2 and 3 - I use for tracks. The quality is the best. I also have a drift ghost, poleriod cube and Sony thing -

Main Camera is

Drift Ghost S

Love it as it's super versatile for shooting on my helmet, or using a suction-cup or belt mount it can be placed on other parts of my bike. Love the 300 degree rotating leans as well. Good external mic port.

Camera I want

Drift Ghost 4K

I'm hearing some problems involving the mic sensitivity. Probably won't need to do anything in 4K, but 2K sounds promising. Has self-stabilization and dual mic ports!

Would also like to have and learn how to operate a drone to add to my shooting experience.

  • Main camera is Drift ghost S - Best action camera I have owned by far. Well for Helmet use mainly because of the lens and the 3.5 mic in
  • Second Camera Drift stealth 2 - Honestly its a heap of shit. Frezzes from time to time, but in its defence its had a few drops
  • Third camera - GoPro 3 silver. - Not a bad thing just too old now.
Camera I want - Something 4K with a simple 3.5 mic in.

Yea I saw the Drift 4k and want it to. But at this point it feels like vaporware. They've been pushing back on the release date and been totally silent or absent from PR to the point I've given up.

At this point I think I'd much rather continue using my Drift Ghost-S. The 4k recording can be handled by my trusty Panasonic GX8 which is better anyway.

Good point. I'm in no rush, other than the fact that I'd like to have two cameras to use for blogging.

  • Main camera is

Sony HDR-AS20

  • Camera I want
I've been looking into getting a GoPro, nor sure what model I want.

  • I own a Sony HDR-AS20, and Sony digital camera

I like to keep it simple, some people are starting to look like this lol

  • Main camera is a GoPro Hero 5 Black. No case was a selling point and built in screen and decent battery life. Downside is that the mic adaptor is utter garbo and huge and it is not waterproof when using it
  • I'd love a 4k / 60fps, 2hr removable battery and the camera body separate from the lens so it would be discreet enough to not draw attention and usable on a helmet on trackdays. Would not need a mic adaptor, and would have 2 mic ports that recorded as separate channels to help with editing.... I wish! :D
  • I also have a GoPro 5 Session but not currently utilising it, several Mobius 2 actioncams, and Mobius 1's which I don't yet have a use for on the bike.

So given the choice, would you buy it again? Im going to hopefully get one soon

  • Currently have Drift Stealth 2
Main pros is that its cheap and weighs nothing, like less than your phone. Battery life is 2+ hours of recording. Also the lens is rotatable.

Mains cons are that its not the greatest quality, especially with the newer options.

  • Camera I want?
I'm loving Drift, so I'd like the new Drift Ghost S. I've heard its amazing.

My main camera: Hero 4 Black (still prefer 4 over 5 for main because I use the sena backpack to record audio and I run external power to it)
Secondary camera: Hero 5 Black
Optional or Extra camera: Sony as100v

Also care a Sony Alpha point and shoot sometimes when I want to vlog off the bike or get off the bike footage.

Current camera: Hero 3 White
Opt Camera: Canon 550D, obv not for when I ride.
Wishlist: Hero 4 Black, Some drone.

Would like to try: Sony and Drift.

I currently have a GoPro Hero 4 Black, love it so far.
I would like another GoPro, maybe a hero 4 silver to have the built in screen for ease of use for other family things besides motovlogs
My wife bought me a drone, have yet to test it out. The yuneec typhoon H, looks nice though but a bit bulky. We'll see... :)

My main camera is:
- Sony HDR AS-300R (bought it today)
Because it has: Screen, Liveview, GPS, Low profile, compatible with flip-up helmets, and I already have mounts :)
And not to forget: It has a microphone jack in the rear :D Let the english motovlogs commence!

My second camera is:
- Sony HDR AZ-1VR
Because it has: Screen, Liveview, GPS, Low profile, also compatible with flip-up helmets.
Used as rear facing cam for multicam setup.

Wishlist: None yet, maybe Sony FDR X3000, but is almost the same as the AS300R, except the X3000 records in 4K.

I also had a Lenco Sportcam 100, and it was waste of money. Used it 2 times and then it corrupted all cards I put in there...

My only camera is Garmin Virb Ultra 30. I bought it mainly for its telemetry and Bluetooth microphone abilities. Other than that it is pretty much a Hero 5.

I'd like to get a Hero 5 session for some front shots, but it is not gonna be soon.

I have a GoPro Hero 5 Black and the GoPro Hero 5 Session and will be buying the new GoPro 360 camera in the coming months. I dont have many mounts that are motovlog related accessories but I will be beginning to purchase some stuff pretty quick here. I am wondering where I would mount my charger for my pro inside my helmet? This is my first post lol.

Current camera: GoPro Hero4 Silver
Current microphone: Sony ECM-DS70P stereo microphone

Wishlist: Another Hero4 (no to Hero5)

Hero4 seems pretty fine to me, so does my microphone, if it ain't broke, don't change it I guess. :)

Hi @CodyB what charger are you talking about?

I have a couple battery banks about the size of a credit card and about 1/4 inch thick. I am wondering if its possible to mount some power for my GoPro because I see these guys on here with side mounted cameras with a power cord going inside the helmet somewhere I am assuming its charging the camera?

Im super green when it comes to motorcycles, I still have not got my full license yet, I just need to book the test and and wait 30 days for full privileged.

This is what Im working with.
