Okay I really wana go with you guys, think it'd be a laugh..

Obviously the camping stuff is needed (Will probably get it all from halfords cause they got a big sale on atm)
Whats people usual thoughts on food? (Again, im assuming BBQ stuff, tinned beans etc.. lol)

I will needa book the friday off, so im not a deffinate yet but can anyone give me any tips on what I'll need and what to bring, both the basics and stuff that makes camping abit better, since I'm new to it lol

I'm in Dorset, so I will meet at guildford aslong as I have the time off and I do come

Thanks for any help :)

When i did basic in the Military one guy brought some boil frankfurters, beans, pasta and stuff like that :)

Otherwise bring snacks and easy to cook things like Beans and pasta, i have two mess tins so if you need a pan i have a spare one

As for meeting us at Guildford, we are meeting for 6am, is that okay for you? :)

Ahh, I just re-read the tread and noticed that, I could meet you at point C instead, I would be able to leave here and get there in time to meet you guys for lunch, I'm still not a deffinate, but I will ask work about having friday off and aslong as I can get the friday off, I'll meet you at point C instead, that should be a better plan

She running perfecto just the lovely big scuff on the side which i nearly murdered my neighbours for doing lol

I'm setting off tomorrow :D (from France) really looking foreward to this, not entirely sure when we'll be at the campsite, but if we're not there before you miss we shouldn't be far behind ^.^

LADIES !!! , THERES RAIN FORECAST : so in such event i found this for those non educated in such things

Make sure the tent seams are well sealed. You don't want water seeping through the cracks somehow!
The entrance way must form a lip, like a bathtub, and not be as flat as the rest of the floor (this is actually known as a "bathtub floor"). If the floor slopes down or is simply sewn flat into the tent wall, this will let water in.
The coating of the tent must be waterproof – read the labels carefully for the product's virtues and drawbacks.
If you are camping for a short time, a small tent might be okay if you can stand being in close proximity with your camping buddies. If you're staying for 3 or more days, take the big tent for your own sanity!

Pitch the tent properly. If you have to pitch the tent in the rain, put up a tarpaulin over you first to stop the inner part of your tent from turning into a bath before you even start. Put down a groundsheet matching the tent to provide additional protection. The groundsheet should not be visible under the tent, fold under the sides of the groundsheet so water running down the tent will not catch on the groundsheet and be directed between the groundsheet and tent floor.

Look for slopes, angles, indentations, soft earth and avoid pitching in these if you possibly can. Look for the highest part of the ground on your camp-site. Be wary of selecting as your site an absolutely flat area of dried sediment which has formed as it becomes a puddle in rain! Avoid any places with signs of old flooding (washouts, debris, narrowly enclosed areas, etc). Water can be channeled to these areas and flood them in minutes during a storm.

...... So if it rains im going to be prepared .... ARE YOU ?!?!
