I thought they had sold off all the tooling to a Chinese manufacturer?!? But it may have been cheaper to buy it back than try and market to a new demographic

I have not ridden 883, but I have pushed one around in a parking lot. That thing seems like an excellent beginner bike. If HD wishes to have new riders to use their brand, it makes sense to have something in that category. If someone learns to ride on a Honda then why would they ever want to switch to HD later?

A while back I read somewhere that HD dealerships in Florida were struggling to attract new customers. Maybe they may have to come up with smaller motorcycles to attract younger riders.
