Wales- Snowdonia Meet - 17th to 19th August 2012

Hey guys,

Sorry about this, but I wont be able to make it to this trip as I'll be going the other way - Southampton.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that you guys have some great weather and great riding! :D

There are many thing on that list you will never need! :lol:

Basic camping stuff:

- Tent (poles, pegs and groundsheet - optional)
- Sleeping bag (and roll mat if possible)
- Cutlery, plates, cup and pans/folding canteen
- Tea/coffee
- Torch
- Personal hygiene stuff
- Preferably folding seat or mat

And of course clothes!

I'll be taking a spare stove which people are free to use if they wish.

Put me down on the Maybe list. If I can swing a few things and make it I'll be down on the friday (meet up with the lot going at 6 ish?) Camp over night then leave some time on the saturday so i'm back in time.

I'm not a deff yet but if i do come looking at your rough route map, you pass through chipping norton I could meet you in there before you turn off on the A44/ worcester road as you go through the town centre

We can't make individual bookings, so it's a case of turn up and pay. If we were to make a group booking somebody would need to fork out 25% of the total cost, which would almost certainly be a problem. I for certain would not be happy taking money off people for the booking and equally I do not want to stand the cost for confirmed people not turning up. Adds too many potential complications!

If the total number were to exceed 20 some other solution would have to be found :|

Oh okay cool :) I got worried thinking we had to pre book, sa'll good though :D
 
Right so just to confirm people, we are meeting in snowdon on friday spending the night there then a full day on saturday, camping again then heading home on the sunday yes?

Ah right! Hadn't really thought of Argos before :lol:

Best places for stoves are Amazon and eBay, especially the latter if you know what you're getting. Coleman F1 Power PZ is a good stove ;)

Awesome, I'll have a look around, there is millets near where I love too and I'm probably going to need a lot of bungee cords :D

Whats people usual thoughts on food? (Again, im assuming BBQ stuff, tinned beans etc.. lol)


I will needa book the friday off, so im not a deffinate yet but can anyone give me any tips on what I'll need and what to bring, both the basics and stuff that makes camping abit better, since I'm new to it lol

I'm in Dorset, so I will meet at guildford aslong as I have the time off and I do come

When i did basic in the Military one guy brought some boil frankfurters, beans, pasta and stuff like that :)

Otherwise bring snacks and easy to cook things like Beans and pasta, i have two mess tins so if you need a pan i have a spare one

As for meeting us at Guildford, we are meeting for 6am, is that okay for you? :)
