Face Reveal Or Unmasked Vlogger

At first I was anonymous, but I did a face reveal video and never looked back. I was sick and tired to trying to conceal my face from reflections and I wanted to be able to collaborate with others in the future without limiting myself.

My face was in my last video, Im sure it has been in others?
But had a funny comment from a sub...

"ERMAGERD FACE REVEAL;
No wonder you have a kid mate, no homo."

As for face reveal who cares lol. I understand the blurring of plates etc etc as it is VERY easy to track someone to their home address via a number plate. If the cops wanted to track you down it only takes a day and google will hand over all your details to them.

I would be more worried about some nutta tracking you down via your number plate because they took some sorta offence by something you have said or done myself.

Never knew that! I know you can check online if a car is taxed or insured. I'd have thought personal details would be secure as the keeper details are meant to be kept only by the DVSA.

I've removed the dvla comment as I think it's v888 you contract now.

Still dead easy to get though with a short call to a government agency.

Can't do it here :( ... I believe someone a while back said that it was a no-no. Can't remember who, though - I was a kid then ~_~ .....

I've just found that became an issue today, I made a video yesterday in which I was sitting in a chair talking to the camera before testing the durability of one of my lids by hitting it with a hammer.

The hitting part was fun ;)

I didn't upload this video however just because I'm not sure about the whole seeing me thing. I didn't think I was bothered until now, and I'm still not sure I am, I'd just like to make an actual decision first. Instead I re-edited the video and made it much shorter and without any of my reasoning involved.

It depends on what you're going for with your videos imo. Speeding and stunts I wouldn't, but casual riding why not? Anyways I don't see many time where you'd need to though.

I have an affinity for speed and my speedo is always in shot, and because I'm a paranoid shit I don't want that footage to be traceable back to me. I don't blur the speedo but I blur my plate, and my face is never in view.

By affinity for speed I mean if it's a 30 and the road is clear I'll be above 30. That doesn't mean I do like 50+ but I'll be say 36 or 43 or something. I just ride at my own pace and typically that's above the limit a tad.

Not only that, but I'd rather keep my privacy in check because I don't want people (again, paranoia) to know where I live and as such where my bike is parked.

I think it's preference really.

I haven't showed my face just yet, but I am not going to try and hide it from reflections and stuff. I am just not showing my registration plate or any clips very close to my home address :P

I do try to keep everything in the video on the being careful with the law angle and as some of the people I ride with have baby bikes that helps but occasionally, very occasionally, the speedo may creep 1 or 2 MPH over what the road signs suggest..

I don't think you have anything to worry about going only 1 or 2 over. The man is looking for the crazy mofos going 120-130 in 50s

Don't forget that you generally have a 10% margin between what your speedo says and what you're actually doing. If you don't have that margin because you've got a speedo healer or different gearing, the law don't know that! Plus if you're doing <10 over in pretty sure it would be a waste of time to try and convict you. After all they'd have to seize and calibrate your bike for the speed. Analyse the footage. Go through the (probably very short) process of getting your details from Google. And then arrest you. And all this costs money. I think they'd rather let the speed cameras do the job!!
