Face Reveal Or Unmasked Vlogger

I don't care if my face is seen or not. I spoke about it in one of my first videos and if people really wanted to they could find out a lot of info about me with a quick search. I've made a few in car vids where i'm talking to the camera so I can be seen I just didn't (or have yet to) upload them because of what I talked about.

I actually started watching spicy first, I did not expect him to look like that. But it didn't tarnish him, I still watch his vlogs

I personally would never reveal my face because I work in the eye of the public. What I do on personal time could effect my employment

I'm just curious what everyone's opinion is on showing your face or face reveals, or who's face you'd like to see, etc???

I'm perfectly fine with people seeing my face. I just hope they don't mind seeing it.

Personally I don't care if my face is shown or not. Once someone found my personal Youtube channel I kind of gave up the whole hidden face thing, and have shown mine it a few videos. However, it is kind of disappointing to see the face of a vlogger you've only known a helmet for a long time. I like the mystery of it I suppose.

You can be easily traced through your jewellery business if any authorities want to track you down though. Hiding your face doesn't really do much is anyone wants to find you.

I personally don't think I'll ever do a reveal or show my face. I just like the whole idea of being incognito. I wear a mostly black helmet with a black visor, when I'm out riding I love being able to stare at people with them having no idea as to who I am. I'm just like that.

Been said before, but it's down to whether you become massive and if you're going to get chased down the street. I'll never do a full on face piece to camera (I do have a cam facing me on the bike), but I'm in other people's videos, and if I crack my visor or flip I'd not blur it, unless I was dribbling or had a massive booger hanging from my nose

Heh, but I can always deny it . There's someone else in South American who uses my username, too ... except she uses all caps, if I remember right .....

I suppose I'd be a little more fearful of an employer or potential employer looking me up and trying to find stuff out for whatever reason. Since I don't really use my name anywhere or don't ~really~ have a username close to my actual email address, then they'll have to do some real digging if they want to take the time . If I show my face, then it just makes it that much easier to connect the dots ~_~ .

I don't care either way. I have no need to show my face so I don't but maybe one day in the future I will. I don't do crazy illegal cr@p that may require some anonymous steps to be taken but i'm easy either way.

I wouldn't reveal just cause I prefer to be low profile, but sometimes there are random people (mostly other bikers) that manage to recognize me, either because of my bike/shirt/helmet/etc. Not that many of such encounters though.

Would I make a reveal? Well, I don't plan to, or at least I don't plan to purposely have a "reveal video", but if it happens then it happens. The irony is that I've been (tricked by my friend to be) on a local TV talk show once very briefly to talk about motorcycling, so yeah, if you count that as a reveal. That reminds me, I'll have to get my friend to get me a copy of that talk show episode one day, never saw it.

I've not deliberately hidden my face, but I've never really been in a situation where its been seen either, as my videos have all been from my viewpoint.

I'm happy to revel in the anonymity for the time being, as I've only recently started in this game and haven't met up with any other local vloggers yet.

Does anyone care what I look like at this point? With less than 100 subscribers and a small number of videos uploaded, not many people know I even exist, so to even think about doing a "reveal" video would just seem to be attention-whoreing at this point ;-)

I can see the dilemma for those vloggers with thousands of followers, though.

I'll just let things take their natural course and see what happens - I don't want to force it.

And you'd all just be disappointed anyway :-D

I haven't showed my face on my channel... yet. But I don't see an issue or why big vloggers make such a huge deal out of it other than it being a privacy thing. As for me, I show my face on twitter and Instagram so people who follow me from YouTube are able to see my face if they want.
