what bike do you have now, toast? (a beautiful one is my first choice, but more precisely)

I'm glad you asked. :) A 2009 Triumph Street Triple. A freaking awesome machine.

OMG! That's the one i've been in love ever since i walked into the dealership on 04/16/2012 (i know the date I truly fell in love for the first time)

Forgot to post this yesterday, but I fitted some new rear brake pads.

My bike has the same callipers as the Fireblade and a few other super sports bikes, so it was really easy to find fantastic brake pads.

Also put rim tape on for my rear wheel... at last.

I had mine serviced. It cost £151 for a warranty service, when they quoted £99.

I can't understand this. What did you have done?

First services are usually only an oil change and an hours labour.
That's unless there's something wrong with your bike.

Did they explain it?

I got charged 1 1/2 hours labor, plus vat, which comes to £120. Oil £13 plus a few extras. Parts £27, labor £97. Plus vat.

I finally pulled the Tx plate off the VFR and put the new Tn plate on it. Finally legal! . . . after only 6 months . . .

Did you go with a custom plate again this time?

Not yet. They're only $50 and they will give me a pro-rated refund on my current tags when I decide to get one. I had a custom number in mind that was freaking epic, but I forgot it almost immediately. Once I come up with something that makes me go 'Holy shit, that's awesome!' I'll go down there and have it made. :)

Yesterday:

I scavenged bits off one bike to put on the other so I could pass vehicle inspection (MOT in England)... and failed. Ooops! ;)

New, extra huge screen! So much less buffeting, it's lovely, still not quite happy wind-noise-land though.

What are your bikes doing on the ground?!?! Haha

And Dexi...pictures! pictures!

I don't have a bike stand handy.... or 2 come to think of it... either way, laying them on their side means I can remove the wheels (which was what I was doing, swapping them around).

Cleaned and re-lubed the chain. Took the guard off to find a handfull of grime on the underside and seemingly solved the squeaky brake problem.
