What Have You Done To Your Bike Today?

Caught a little potentially deadly problem during a quick visual inspection. Front tire was 4# low, odd for it to deflate that much in a week so I did a visual and found nothing until I went to put the inflator to the valve stem! It wasn't cracked last week but this inspection revealed a crack all the way around the stem and a vertical crack as well. I didn't have time to do anything but put the bike away, pull the front rim and take it to a local shop (already had new shoes for it anyway). $23 later it's ready to go again, the mechanic said he put a little pressure on the stem with his thumb and it broke right off (no valve tool needed to air it down!). Blessed that I saw it!

Installed Galfer stainless rear brake line to GMA caliper. Bleeder valve leaked, temporarily replaced (bleeder valve ordered) with plug so brake would work.

I admitted failure...I sent the bike to the shop :(
I hate adjusting and tuning carbs with a passion and just couldn't get the air/fuel mixture screws right with the equipment I have. Thankfully, retro wrench here in Louisville bent his rules of no bikes newer than 1982 for my 1994 seca II... Must have been the big puppy dog eyes and the tucked tail that convinced him MrJoel needs help!

I bought it! (Yesterday actually) Its undergoing the national inspection now so I should be on it within a couple of weeks.

Taking the handle bars off ... well that's already done and converting it for dirt bike bars, math was just about perfect except the top of the for tubes hit the bars ... not what I was hoping for.

Oh well back to the fabrication board (I'm on a budget so new parts are kinda out of the picture.

Bike is a 96 VFR750

Fitted a new battery - after a long ride out, then stopped in traffic whole bike stank of rotten eggs, which turned out to be the acid in the battery boiling!
Simple job, but one well worth it, people were running from me, and not because of my ugly mush!!

After mine girlfriend damaged the indicator while demounting the bike, mine dad managed to shortcut the bike and blow a fuse by trying to fix the earlier mentioned indicator.

So i had to replace a fuse and i fixed the indicator problem... by removing the old one and placing the back up one...

Absolutely nothing, but I am sorting out my hard drives so I have somewhere to put footage! Miles behind, decided to trash a load of it. If I haven't gone back to it within 6 months, it's been binned.
