Time to go ride and see if the windblast is better...

Dang Matt - WTF do you plan on carrying around that you need that much luggage? And coming from a Street Triple - windblast?.... Come on, man!

Also, the Triumph side cases aren't very functional. They open sideways, so stuff has a tendency to fall out when opening. Only the left side is big enough to just barely wedge my courier bag into - and that's after folding it over to the size of my 15" Macbook Air. The left side bag has a cutout for the exhaust, making it even smaller than the right side. With the topcase, I can now just throw my backpack inside and head to school - along with a few of my mammoth texts. Then I can stow my helmet and jacket in the topcase while in class. There's no way a helmet and/or winter jacket is going to make it into either Triumph case.

Also, the topcase will be useful for the missus on long rides as a backrest!

Today I moved my bike inside the house because there's a civil war outside with looting and shit.
Seems like I won't be mvlogging the next few months.

Started to put together a new toy.
The XT600 Adventure Dinosaur.

Going to 'try' to film more of my Servicing, Modding, Building, etc. Make a 'HowTo' series. As i said 'try', cause i usually get in the garage and just get into the job at hand, think afterwards 'Oh yeah Photos/Vid'.

Cheers all
Merry Xmas.

Probably sounds stupid.. but it's my bike so too bad.

Finished the two-tone plastidip (black and white), and I got my new handlebars in the mail so I'll be installing them soon. :)

I rolled it out of the garage because I had a water pipe burst and my garage was flooded. Half way out of the garage I slipped on ice (my driveway was like an ice skating rink) and got pinned under the bike. That's what I did with my bike today. If there were any twisties at all in Florida I would move there tomorrow!

I've been doing a lot to my old J2 in last 2 months as it is slowly turning into a road legal track bike. Probably missing something but all done so for that I can think of:
- cleaning wherever I could get to
- valve clearance adjustments
- carb balancing
- new iridium spark plugs
- new gaskets all the way from intake to the engine
- new air filter
- new fuel filter and pipes
- new indicators
- new number plate including number plate light
- undertray mod
- new HEL braided brake hoses
- rear brake overhaul - new seals, pads, brake fluid (in progress)
- lubricated shock and linkage bearings
- new lighter 520 Renthal sprockets and EK chain with rivet master link
- new titanium rear sprocket bolts
- temporarily fitted standard end can for MOT (currently off as I'm not finished with the rear caliper)

On order and to do (not a lot left):
- awaiting 4-pot Nissin calipers for the front
- full front brake overhaul including seals, master cylinder rebuild, pads

The bike as it is today:

Plans:
- another set of wheels with more track focused rubbers
- additional Renthal rear +2 sprocket
- some crash protection, I'm not too bothered with scratches, but I hate things when they crack
