^ ^ ^ ^ I used to have that bike ('cept 08 ZZR). I actually kinda miss it...probably only because it was my first bike.

I rolled it out of the garage because I had a water pipe burst and my garage was flooded. Half way out of the garage I slipped on ice (my driveway was like an ice skating rink) and got pinned under the bike. That's what I did with my bike today. If there were any twisties at all in Florida I would move there tomorrow!

Installed MCL 1" peg drop kit. Uninstalled MCL 1" peg drop kit due to not allowing my shifter to function properly. Installed 4" passenger drop pegs.

Thanks. It's been a work in progress for the last 5 years. I've got the ceiling and floor left but the wife said she would leave me if I did anything else to the garage before I remodeled the house. I'm sure gonna miss her. Lol

Cleaned and lubed the chain then test fitted a bag I'll be strapping to the back for a road trip I'm taking in a few months (shhh...I haven't told Tito yet). The bag has a back rest. I dug it out from my hubby's old cruiser stuff box.
Ima be like a spoiled leetle brat.

I think ZZR600 2008 is pretty much the same bike as ZX6R J1/J2 2000-01. They look the same and are 599cc, 110bhp, and weigh 172kg dry. I love it as it is a great all-rounder. Rather than selling it I decided to change some bits and keep it. When I get a new road bike eventually (probably not in 2014) I will make my ZX6R a proper track bike with track fairings, for now it has to do both - road and track.

I don't miss my first bike. It was a slow 125cc, once I moved on I never looked back

Yes.. full front brake rebuild.

As for painting the calipers I don't think it's going to last very long.

What's not going to last long? The paint? I've got some special heat proof spray paint that's meant for car engines so I would hope so! I doubt I will get round to doing it for a while though. Need a good tool kit first.

It's not only the heat, but also the fact that brake fluids are very corrosive.

My engine wouldn't start with the ignition and I didn't know why, tried bumping it for 500 yards and then just parked it at the side of the road and made a phone call to my dad.
Turns out he had to move it yesterday and he turns bikes off with the kill switch.

A lesson was learned today...

Lol....so many people forget to check the kill switch.

Lmao i did that on my DRZ one day! i hit a rut and softly laid it over and bumped the switch i gues and when i stood it up it wouldnt start and i was freaking out because we where like 1 mile on a farmer drain tile path! after about a minute i realized i had bumped the switch! i felt like an idiot! but always funny to look back now and see that!
