Wish i would have seen this earlier, I would have loved to come but now have work and no money. I'll have to come to next years instead !

I've got some ideas and plans for meets and ride outs next year already. I'll keep you informed ;)

Speed is 1050 - much faster, higher speed! ;)
.

Good luck holding on at over 120mph though, so i still have you on the speed front lol.

I didn't get the Speed to go fast, my CBR will do 150mph and that's well over fast enough

Still slower than me then lol, it looks a nice bike anyway mate so hope you have tons of fun on it ,will let you know Sunday or monday if i can make the meet or not, these new tyres have more grip that what i thought they had lol.

Not this time ;)

Yay what bike am i up against then.

It is indeed, as others have said, my new Speed Triple. Hopefully I'll have the engine run in a bit more by then.

just looked it up xD didn't know the tripple was a 1050 :O

What did you think it was?

I Believe the Speed triple is a 1050 and the Street triple is a 675. Very easy to get confused

Very true. Just think of it like this: street is 675 - nicer, easier power for riding in the street.
Speed is 1050 - much faster, higher speed! ;)

Probably the crudest way I could describe it.

That is a good way to remember it. Both great bikes either way. Hope you are enjoying your new speed triple and hope to see it at the meet :)

Put me down as a maybe. I tried riding 100 miles this morning and got 25 miles before the cold and ice forced me to turn around. At the moment, I'm doing 200 on Friday. The last thing I want to do is injure myself, or worse, damage the bike.

What you have to remember is the journey up there is in the afternoon so it'll be warmer than in the morning and the ride round the peak district is going to be late morning.

The weather is supposed to be getting slightly warmer again before this meet. I don't expect people to come if there is tons of ice about.

Sure you want me to move you to maybe?

Put me as a maybe but I highly doubt me coming to this meet.

Already have done.

I'll definitely come, as I think I'd regret it if I didn't.

Good man.

At the moment, Saturdays weather forecast is looking as expected. Pretty chilly but dry. Bring thermals!
That far ahead though, anything could happen. I'll keep checking it.

To be honest, I've just been doing some dual carridgeway riding (85-90) at 7 degrees, and I was fine. I just wore an extra hoodie, and my textile trousers. I'm fitting heated grips on Wednesday, and it should be fine so long as we don't go all silly while riding.

For everyone who fancies coming to the meal on Friday night, please send me a message so that I know to book you a place at the resturant.

I've asked around, and it looks like people quite like the idea of Pizza Hut at the Wyvern retail park.

Not sure where it is? Click me, I'm a link. Really easy to find place with a big carpark that we shouldn't have any problems finding spaces in.

Looking like we'll be going around 7 as well. I just need to know some numbers :)

Layers, it's all about layers trapping in the heat.

We don't have to go silly on the way up, I'm too old to go silly anyway, and it's not like we won't have plenty of time.

I'm going to have to give it a miss. I checked the bank balance ealier and apparently I'm in minus figures this month so need to save as much as possible next month.
