Does anyone know how to reduce the gain on directly on the GO PRO 4

My mic sounds good but just picking up too much gain

Is it too close to my mouth?

there is no gain adjustments on a gopro. What mic are you using? I had the same problem with my first mic, but then I bought the audiotechnica 3350 and that seemed to fix it. I was getting a lot of clipping in my audio and this mic fixed it.

The Sony ECM CS3 is another popular one with the community. I have tried one, just cant seem to find a spot to cut the wind noise as well as the AT3350, since the sony is a stereo mic with a larger head to hide on the helmet.

you need to get creative with sound deadening on the mic it self...
