Question On Topics When Motovlogging

I'd say I'm fairly new to motovlogging and the way I try and do it is try and come up with a topic and go from there. I do ramble sometimes and have often find myslef having to re-shoot. One thing I try and do is to try find roads or two points that are spaced out for about 10 mins as that is how long I try and aim for. When I'm watching vlogs I like to watch vlogs that are somewhere around that 10 minuite mark. I do like Gromie Bears videos at 15 minuites a I find them a little long and I don't tend to watch.

I get put off by some of the longer vlogs too, I'll watch them if the subject matter seems interesting from the description. I don't post many vids below 10min though, so am my own worst enemy on that front! lol :D

That was my issue. Hense why I try and find points that are about 10 mins appart. If not just try and chop bits out in editing

when i do i vlogs i have idea on what i want to talk about and start from there, but i am trying to do one atm but its causeing me a bit of trouble to film as i dont want todo a overload on info and i dont want ti to be to long, i am trying to hit a 7/8 min mark for it

have you tried scripting it out and timing how long you need to say what you need to say? (I've not done that myself but you may find it helps with timings etc)

no i havent i will give that ago at the weekend, i have done a brain storm chart thing as there is a few topics in the video i would like to touch on as its very important i get them across, for me its just find the right flow on this one to make it all work and fit together

I’ve been having the worst case of motovlogging cbf at the moment and it’s been awesome.

No stress about thinking of a topic. No stress of editing. No stress of will anyone watch. It’s just been me enjoying riding for once.

I do have a couple of to do topics but I’ll get to them one day.

Gotta keep at it bud if you wanna hit that 1k subs! :-)

The max I can get without getting too boring is 7 minutes.
Some have extremely good content, but mine is just what the title says.
If you read the title, it's exactly the same as my video.

That's what I'm trying to form my vlogs around. No more than 6 minutes, title matches the content. My commute each day is 35 minutes EACH way, so I can easily make 2 or 3 vlogs out of each day's commute. I have four vlogs edited ready to go, so I have them set to auto-release on a certain date. Yay for keeping viewers happy with consistent releases but not technically doing anything.

My last vlog though was kind of fun. I was spewing bullshit about cops planting Marijuana in my motorcycle because I was smelling weed on the freeway, just being a jackass knowing that's not true. Then I started begging for help because I was bored after 50 minutes on the highway.

Quite entertaining. For me, at least. Haven't posted it yet...

It depends on what you want to do, you can talk about your surroundings as well, your mood, any improvement you made to your bike, your equipment, etc.

Ive made me the same question, sometimes motovlogging is a rare mix of charisma and improvisation

If you're looking for topics you can have a look in the Vlog request forum.

Yup, but please don't post written answers and if you do a video response keep them under 10min long as I have to moderate them and I don't have time to watch a 25min video that only spends 5 of those minutes discussing the question, so keep the videos targeted to the question you are answering! :-)

This is a great topic. Since I have yet to record any talking while riding I have received feedback on my videos from viewers on what they would like to hear.
I guess this lack of "voice" was a blessing in disguise. I now have specific ideas/topics I will be covering for each of our future planned trips based on feedback.
Since my channel is a bit different we will talking about travel planning, travel tips, lodging, and interesting sights to visit along the way. I'm excited to start this next chapter.

I'm trying to stay minimal on current events, politics..etc... it dates your material...also religion..unless your playing to a church group, your better off keeping it to yourself....politics and religion are the two topics that will ruin a business faster than anything.

Good advice. I tend to ride and motovlog to get away from things. Religion and politics among many of them. I look at a motovlog as a public document. Once it's uploaded it's subjected to the entire world's view and reactions.

Revive!

I have both some ideas that I have in mind and a specific thing I'm trying to record, and the random freestyle life vlog. I try to edit out (still working on shortening videos...) the random stuff that adds excess minutes.
