Ozarks Meet-up 2015

Oh ok, thanks for the information. I would like the .gpx file as well. I will be coming from NW Arkansas. I see it under 2015 Possum Pie Run on Facebook.
You'll have to PM me your email address, I'll email it to you. Have not figured out how to attach files (or anything else, for that matter). :mad:

So I managed to get BaseCamp working and unlocked my city navigator maps. BaseCamp says 282 miles, and 6:59 total ride time. Killer day of riding!

Yepper. We should be fine if the kickstands are up by 9 am, should be back at the motel by 6 pm.

Man if that was not so far away from me I would be there.
Looks like it will be a great time
Well, that sucks, I would like to see you come down this way. I think there might be some meetups closer to where you are at, maybe in new york, or some state closer. I subbed to your channel today.

Have you seen the news on the April 25 meet up in GA? I am trying my hardest to make it there for sure!!
Nice ride by the way!!!

Hmmmm, I will check into that on the meetup in GA. Well, if you can make it to GA, that would be great. Thanks for the compliment on my ride. I do love it, but I have yet to ride it for a while due to the iffy weather here for right now. That would be great if you were able to come to the Ozarks meetup. Since Clarksville is about probably 2 to 3 hours from where I live, it would not be that big of a deal for me.

xxx - can you post a google link to that route instead of an image?
Yeah, I'll need to create it in Google maps. I'll try to have that for you by tomorrow evening, been really busy, lol. I've pretty much switched over to RouteConverter for all my routing tasks.

Well, screw this. Google maps seems to have a limit on Waypoint entries. I can send you a GPX or TRP file if you want it. As noted above, I quit using Google Maps and now use RouteConverter - it hasn't been "Google-ized" yet. :)

Yup, 10 points last time I tried. You need to get creative with waypoints and route dragging. Then hope it works when you share it.

lol..... These routes can't be reliably created with 10 points. I'm not into Google-foo and have limited patience. :)

Oh man I can't wait for this. Got my time off approved and a new ride to whip around. Can't wait to see you all again.

It's that time of year again folks! This will be the official 2015 Ozarks Meet-up repository. I will continuously update this first post as information becomes more complete. I do not participate on Facebook, so if someone here would please relay information in this post to those on Facebook I'd appreciate it. :)

~~~~~~
Event plan is to arrive sometime on Friday, May 15th. We will ride Saturday (16th) and Sunday (17th), and leave for home on Monday (18th). Of course, you are free to arrive earlier and/or stay later, as there are many great roads to ride that we will not touch in 2 days.
Saturday Route: TBA (hint..... a return to Push Mountain Road)
Sunday Route: TBA (requests, anyone?)
Routes will meander through the Ozark and Boston Mountain region of north-central Arkansas. Roads tend to be on the technical side, i.e. twisty, hilly and inviting of a quick pace. In the past couple years, we had enough people to divide into 2 groups. We have a PERFECT safety record with this event and stress to all to ride within their comfort level.
Trip tips:
1. The road surfaces are mostly chip-and-seal. They are rough and accelerate tire wear. If you don't think you have at least 1,000 miles of wear left in a tire, you need to get a new one. There are literally no places in the area to buy tires except Little Rock or Russellville, and the problem compounds itself on weekends.
2. Bring rain gear unless the forecast calls for near-zero chances. Like any hilly region, weather changes fast. Also a sweatshirt or light jacket to lounge around in case it's cool. Weather is hit or miss. We do ride in light rain. We have also ridden in very thick fog.
Is this meetup open to new members? I'll be posting my first motovlog in the next few weeks (I tried today just to find out my darn helmet camera's external mic port no longer works). But I would absolutely love to go to the Ozarks meet. I live in Iowa and it would make an awesome ride!
LRider13, that would be great if you can make it to the meetup. I am planning on being there, since I live in Arkansas and clarksville is about maybe 2 to 3 hours from my home. I would love to attend, and see you there. Do you have a GoPro 3.5mm jack? I am right now trying to get my Sena SMH10-11 fixed. I sent it off to Sena yesterday, and it should be there by tomorrow. I was having problems with the unit itself, and I suspect it is probably a faulty capacitor or resistor, or maybe the speakers are going bad. I hope to have my replacement soon, and I asked one of the Sena techs to run some diagnostics on it like through an oscillioscope to check for the sudio wave lengths and if it is going to be compatible with the GP10. As far as I know, he said it was, but I also asked him to run some ideal tests on it when exposed to the environment before I am satisfied with it. Check out my latest videos on it on my channel.
I am trying a different setup while I wait for it to come back, and hopefully I will have it by the meetup in May, and it will be working fine.
