How To Get Your Channel Noticed On Youtube

Like I said in previous posts. Haters and trolls are a sign that you are doing something right. I don't delete anything. Sometimes viewers will start a flame war with the troll and guess what, more channel clicks, more views and more involvement. Crap I welcome the haters.

I would say a few things.

#1. don't worry about subs or views, do what you like doing and whatever following will come eventually.
#2. you can advertise for free with things like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Forums etc
#3. Just something i've noticed on my channel, your videos might only get 10 views each and then all the suddon you will get one noticed and it could get 1000... you never know. Most of my videos have about 100 views and I have one that is 1000 and a few that are a couple hundred. the Key is to not worry about it. if you make good content people will watch and if they enjoy it they will sub.

The best way to grow and get noticed is to not focus too hard on trying to grow or trying to create something that will go viral or be popular. You might come off as looking like a try hard and destroy any credibility that you may have had.

In the beginning you need to focus on interacting with others and also have fun with what you are creating.
If you are producing fun content that you find enjoyable to watch over and over again in editing, then that is a start. Then watch videos from other small to medium channels, comment on them regularly and form a bond with them. These people may then become your loyal supporters.

Interacting with others here and on motovlogging Facebook groups is also great. I have some amazing motovlogging friends that I met here on this very site in 2012 that are not only loyal subscribers of my channel now, but also people that I consider to be good friends.

Don't bother about trying to get attention from large channels as most of them won't even respond to your comments if they even read them at all. Form friendships with other small guys and grow together. Find local vloggers, have meetups, enjoy the journey that motovlogging can take you on. If you enjoy it, then you will be successful at it. Success is not all about subscriber numbers.

doh, i just posted a pile of suggestions in another thread here. i'll try to summarise again here. these are just some basic tips, if you google 'seo youtube' you'll find more.

as others have said, have good content! it's the most important thing by far.

set up your Youtube channel well. a cool little one to two minute intro vid. put a good header image on the channel home page.

type some good text into the channel description, and get your keywords in there including your channel name. then try to work in keywords into your description.

every time you post a video, get those keywords into your video title. also put lots of text (at least 200 words) in the video description.

youtube will rank your video higher if you get lots of comments, and also if you answer the comments. so invite comments from viewers on various topics.

at the end of your vid, put a link to previous videos you think the viewer might find interesting. or invite them to subscribe, like or comment.

as you get quite a few videos together, see if you can classify them into playlists then link to these at the end of your videos too.

post your vids to various forums. i would suggest not going overboard with this as no one likes a spammer.

create as many social media platforms as you can manage such as the forums, facebook, twitter, a website etc and create links between these and your vids.

develop a consistent style and image that will be easily seen as yours. maybe make a simple logo for the start of each vid. Try to have your intro and endings done in a consistent way.

upload a good preview or thumbnail image for each video that also has your name or logo in the corner.
