How To Get Your Channel Noticed On Youtube

- Don't spam video uploads
- Don't do sub-4-sub
- Don't beg for views/likes
- Don't spam post/sharing videos all over the place (make sure it's relevant/related platform you are posting/sharing)
- Don't worry about negative comments (take the constructive ones to improve and ignore the hate/troll ones)
- Don't focus on checking how many subs/views you get on the videos
- Do enjoy the process of filming and editing
- Do respond to your viewers (except the trolls)

I guess there's a lot more to the list..

I would like to share my experience and hope it helps:

I have been vlogging for about a month now and it started with straight forward commute rides and no commentary. I would upload the videos with no editing and no fanfare, I just wanted to get content online and quick. I think the 3rd or 4th video I started speaking but it was uncomfortable as if speaking to an older family member at a funeral. Still , i uploaded because content is king, right? A few more videos on and I had the break through where the "fun factor" came into play and i just started to relax more, and honestly, the vlogging just creates itself now.

I guess its a case of practice, practice, practice...

I still have a lot of self-doubt after each session and think "shit, that was the worse vlog ever" but when i get back to editing it and having watched it about 20 times to cut out the faff; so from about 30 minutes there will be about 5 minutes of good material. Editing plays a big part in creating good content but i like to keep my videos simple; i have yet to play with music and special FX but it can wait.

At the moment the material is mostly spontaneous and my greatest weakness is keeping a structure and prepping for a vlog, i just can't do it! But I am hoping to improve.

Use the social networks to your advantage; whore yourself out to facebook, twitter, reddit, forums and all that jazz. Don't over do it as nobody likes a spammer but do, do it.

ps. i forgot to mention youtube tags; use the relevant key words to your videos. Again, don't over do it.

Good luck!

Luck .. I mean I'm fu**ing brilliant but don't have many subs lol ...so just enjoy making them and don't worry about the other things

I'm in the same boat. The beginning is always gonna be a struggle. Every single person on youtube started with 0 subs and 0 views. If there was a set formula to become known on Youtube everyone would have 100000 subs. Upload regularly, produce content that is worth people taking the time to watch, interact with the community, keep at it. I think thats the basics of it. Good luck bro!

I'm also new to the game, But I slowing getting some stuff together. Check out my channel, subscribe, comment, lets get connected!!!!!

Couldn't agree more with what everyone is saying.

Do it because you love it and its what you enjoy, I love editing vids even if it has nothing to do with motorcycles (like parties, road trips, drunk friends, stupid funny stuff etc).

If you look at alot of the famous motovloggers, BakerXDerek for example, his first early vids were just him having a good time not trying to impress anyone or get views

Just have fun!

I agree with what everyone has said above.

When I started I was focused on getting lots of subs and views so it got a bit much for me. Just recently in the time between selling my old bike and getting my new bike I couldn't put content up for 3 weeks.

Somehow I still got 25+ subs in that time but I also felt better not uploading or concentrating on it to much. Now I just upload what I have.

I now focus on doing a weekly upload as before, every Monday, but I MUCH prefer doing topic driven uploads rather than random talking. If I cant put out something that I feel is decent then I'll rather wait till I have something good.

This is what makes vlogging so good, every individual has thier own style and attitude and it really comes through in the final product. I love watching new and different people and how they can change over time. Vlog on!

Much like fish I'm the best motovloger in my helmet.

The only way to get noticed is continue to make good content and wait.

No need for worries. The subs/views will come in time. Just keep on producing good stuff and upload them!

Hello all, i am just starting out on youtube and have uploaded a number of videos in the past couple of days and i am wondering how i should promote my channel to get it noticed. i enjoy producing videos and motovlogging and i would just like to start to get a small following. i have five subscribers so far, but as is in my nature, i would like to aim big.

My Channel is called CanuckMotovlogs, and if you could kindly check out my videos and give some suggestions it would be greatly appreciated! I am not advertising, I would just like some help and suggestions on what i could improve on in my content and channel!

i am new to this forum and i did not know where to put this thread in relation to category. if i am wrong in where i placed it i will relocate my question to there.
Like others have said... just have fun with it. The success will be a byproduct of that.

I used to like getting a new sub here and there.

But nowadays,it just makes me sad because somehow once I hit over 150 subs, it seems easier for people to find my channel, and I get trolls that make really snide and offensive remarks for no reason that just get to me sometimes.

I just delete them and move on. It kind of sucks when someone posts on your videos calling you a "retard", and "go home and learn how to ride better you idiot". But you can't really do much other than delete the comment and block these guys from your channel.

It'll just get worse as your channel grows anyway, it's like an inevitability.
