Go Pro Mount Placement.

I like the unicorn view on the MX bike but I think I look like a teletubbie( if you know what that is). The side of helmet is good too. But on the road I rather like the chin mount cause it does stand out so much.

Oddly I actually do know hah.

I like both the side and the chin, I prefer the chin overall. I have mine mounted on the chin

I used to have my gopro on top of helmet, but that was because i had a caberg flip up and could not chin mount it. Now have a Arai Chaser V and this has ideal front shape for chin mount. Footage is a lot better too.
Just make sure you replace the gopro bolts with some thing smaller so you get a nice low profile look.
I used earthing strap nuts and bolts from b & q

Thanks for the pics on a way to mount it there biker 1968. I like how you used the screws instead of the gopro knobs. ill post pictures of mine when I change my mount over to the chin. It might be set up a little differently.

Why don't you cable tie the female mic adapter part to the arm part of the mount instead of the knob? Your side view shows it should have enough space for that. Just a thought.

I use the chin mount from the get go. I much prefer it. I would like to have another camera or 2 on my bike as well, that would make edits more interesting I think. But who has the money? :p

Hey so Ive recorded a few videos with my go pro on the side of my helmet so you can see the helmet, road and bike. But Im thinking of moving it to my chin..... Just curious as to what everyone likes and where they like to mount their own.
why not have both so you can always switch it up from time to time but on the chin does look like your on the bike and id say the side mount gives you a more passenger feel to it

One camera is already heavy enough.. What more two on the helmet.. LoL.. If you are just riding at not-so-fast speeds probably alright, but anything fast and you'll have a tough time.
