why not have both so you can always switch it up from time to time but on the chin does look like your on the bike and id say the side mount gives you a more passenger feel to it


Yea Im going to leave the curved mount where it is and set up a new one on the helmet. So I can go from chin to side veiw easaly. Thats a great idea.
 
If you're running a GoPro, I'd say chin mount to minimize wind buffeting. Contour, Sony, or any of the other elongated cams should go on the left, unless you're in a country where they ride on the left side of the road... Looks better to see oncoming traffic whipping by than not.

Unless you live in a beautiful area, then right mounting if you drive on the right gets the best views without the helmet ruining it.
