Go Pro Camera (simple One) And Other Cameras Mics

Hey guys what's up i have a go pro the simple one (silver box ) and the go pro mic doesn't fit you have any suggestions what its gonna work ?
also i have go clever cameras and if it's possible to plug a mic to them will be also good

The early GoPro cameras changed the mic options between models. Many are silver boxes. If it's the standard Hero camera, I'm not sure it had an input. If it did it would be a round 3.5mm jack, like for headphones. Most any 3.5mm mic would work with it.

its the simple one 2014 model and the only usb port that it has is one usb port at the back and from that port you can insert the vids toy your computer an charge the camera ...is it possible to make or find (to buy) a mic for the camera?

Yes, if it's a proper GoPro that USB port can accept audio. You need to get the GoPro (or other brand) mic adapter. https://shop.gopro.com/accessories/3.5mm-mic-adapter/AMCCC-301.html

What does the text say right below the lens? 2014 should be the Hero 3 White as a base model.

Looked it up ... I didn't even know that camera existed. Sorry for the confusion. That one might not have mic input capability. It might be best to check with GoPro support or a GoPro forum for a definite answer.

Assuming you're referring to the GoPro Her4 Basic? The black one that you can't remove from the case? That's the basic one.

Hi @John.K I have the basic gopro hero+ and have the same problem only thing I could suggest doing is until u can get the gopro 3/4 is by a voice recorder and attach the mic to that and then put the two together.. Also off fiddling around bit It does work

I always use an external audio recorder as opposed to plugging a mic directly into the gopro. You have a lot more control over the sound and it just sounds clearer in my opinion. Check out the Tascam DR-05.
