I got a drift because of the "options" that it comes with that would be extra with the GoPro. Remote, LCD screen, waterproof without case, mounting without case.
The only reason I chose the Drift was because of how sleek it was, and lets be honest it cost alot less.
And a 30 minute battery life!I am a fan of the drift - I am thinking about upgrading one day so I may get a GoPro to have 4k/60fps
So if a GoPro 4 running 4K30 does 30m, what does it do at 1080/60?
Blindingly obviousWith LiPo batteries the physical size is the limiting factor for how much charge it can hold, kinda obvious.

You got a 4K monitor?

The whole battery thing is a joke. It needs to be sorted out.
Woah, 4k is 2160p not a mere 1440p! The difference is immense!Well at 4k I think the video was 1440 maybe? So yes a monitor can display this. It wasn't earthshakingly better over 1080 but then again it was just a road vlog of someone tolling down some side road (I can post up a link if thats allowed and I still have the link). If you were on vacation someplace cool then I bet you would get some awesome video. I dont think there are TV's with 1440 resolution yet are there? So you wouldn't be able to stream it over the screen?

There are plenty of 4K TV's now too, but they're not cheap and not in that many homes.
1440 is nearer 2.7K I think.
Also, YouTube says it limits what you see based on the capacity of your connection and screen. How that works in real life I don't know, but little point watching something with more "p" than your screen has height in pixels.
