nice. i'll have to look into them again then.
It is true they can use both memory stick micro or micro SD I have 64GB ones in my camera, and they use the standard microusb so everything is super easy to use and find stuffs for. And with a gopro to 1/4 camera screw adapter you can use all the go pro mounts/ knock offs so good times can be had by all.

I understand there's a lot of opinions on which is better but I'll tell you why the ghost works for me and why I chose to buy it over the GoPro.

Also gonna throw in the fact that mostly for the average joe like myself, there's not much either camera can do that the other can't. Both are very capable and mostly it comes down to preference and is purely subjective.

But yeah my reason was it's more compact and "easier to use" and I like how it mounts. Tech specs, ofcourse I wanted something that could do 1080p in 60FPS and had decent in-built colour correction/white balance which it does. That coupled with the fact that the Drift Ghost S does very well in low light settings won me over as it pushed the ghost an inch ahead of the GoPro in my preference. I've tested it and its actually very good compared to previous Drift models that suffered in low light.

Does everything I want it to, looks better than the GoPro = Drift Ghost S wins for me.

I'd go with the Drift! Amazing quality, easy to set up, rotating lens and they look pretty good and the battery life is really good :D I personally went for it!

My vote goes to the Drift. It's all been said, discreet, light on the helmet, waterproof without a case, the lens rotates etc.

Here's a question for you guys, how comparable is it using a GoPro and a Drift in the same vlog? Say, a helmet mounted drift and like a chest mounted or bike mounted GoPro and using multiple shots with these two cameras?

Look on my channel for some of my vlogs that went up in November and December, they cam pointing at me is a baby GoPro, the main helmet view is an HD Ghost, although the HD Ghost has a richer colour than the Ghost which is more "true" to the surroundings.

I sometimes do a chin mount setup, and that's impossible to accomplish with a Drift. Also, I think Drift has a narrower field of view.

With a wide angle lens image stabilisation is less important.

Have you seen any of EveRide's stuff where he's off-road but standing up. With the image stabilisation turned on his videos look really cool, almost like a Drone is following just above his head. Some interesting stuff that I'll be messing about with my Sony's when the weather warms up!

If you just want a camera to use for the bike, then I doubt there's much difference between the two.

The advantage of the GoPro is that you can use it for anything else you ever want to do in your life, ever. Anything. Anywhere. Ever.

I think PCX nailed it. I have 3 different cameras I bought the GoPro for off roading and love it and then I got the Sony AS100V to have a second angle which is by far the best camera of the 3.

Then after using the gopro a few times for motovlogging I realized that it was not what I liked and I ended up not using it sometimes because I didn't want to fool with the case or setup.

Now I have a Drift Ghost which to me is the best camera you can buy if you want to motovlog (gopro is fine if you don't mind the mounts and setup) The drift is so convienent that I record all the time just clip it on and I'm good to go. Literally takes less than a couple seconds to have it mounted and on and I'm ready to go.

I have both, have only used the drift for motovlogging because its easier with waterproofing and microphone etc, simpler mounting. Though I'm going to attempt to build a goPro setup once my mic adapter comes in the mail!

I love my drift ghost S. I watched a lot of comparison videos before buying since both are expensive. Didn't see too much of a difference except for videos shot at night in low light the videos w/ the drift seemed better.

I concur, I guess it depends which setup you like better. The quality is virtually the same.

This. I chose a GoPro for the mounting abilities. It's basically endless and they make a mount to attach to essentially everything.

The only reason I chose the Drift was because of how sleek it was, and lets be honest it cost alot less.

However, Depending on how serious I get into Motovlogging I may buy a Gopro just for the sheer video quality difference. I will really like the chin mount option with the Gopro, and in my opinion the center mount is the best view.
