It won't delete anything thats been posted. I wont 'override' your judgement call ha.

At the moment the post your video rule is this while I sorted it

Have an account over two days old
Post count over 30 (stop spam)
Has at least 1 like
Can add a signature and avatar

Once they've passed this 'rule' they can edit posts for up to 10 minutes on their own, then its locked down
They can also open a private chat with up to 4 people to stop spam blah
Only this user permission can post in the post your video areas

Old rule is that they have to post 5 posts within 7 days, and the above - I will look into this one and reinforce

Judgement call to be honest. I was going to lock that down until they get to 30 posts?

Happy to hear thoughts and purposely in public so others can chime in but you and Hippo are the overruling party as such.

I think it’s good if someone can post a pic of their ride with their welcome post. Perhaps limit it to the welcome section until they’ve got 10? I don’t see it being as open to abuse as clickable links can be.

Valid point. I'll be overruled - They wont be able to add images from another site though but I hate that anyway


edit: Done. They can't embed video or links though but images are allowed now

sounds good.... and the forum allows photos to be uploaded into the thread so they don't have to be the thumbnail which is quite nice! (unless that has changed, not tried uploading a photo yet)

You know what, thats what pisses me right off with this software (xenforo) - I can't work out how to disabled attachments. I've sooner everything be forced to embed but the developers wont answer the question

quick rules that will probs change

+300 posts and be in the 'post your video' ruling (5 posts every 7 days when fixed)
+20 likes on your posts/threads
+30 day old account

To stop spam (barely get any) I will run a magic tool that will reset/wipe peoples youtube details every 3 months, Even my own

This is buggy cause I've had a glass of wine but if you are able to post a video on your profile you will need to do the following thing:

Insert the youtube video ID only NOT the full URL

You will need to ONLY insert your channels NAME or ID - NOT the URL

I will probs fix this soon, I might forget but its the thought that counts

Older members. I dunno. It’s getting ageist around here!

The alerts and messages icon are still off the side of the screen on mobile (Safari/iOS). Can easily slide the screen to get to them - however, only if you’re at the top of the page. Won’t slide over if you’re down a few posts.
