Do You Nod?

When I lived in America I would always wave and nod when my hands weren't free. In Japan however riding a bike I feel like there is no brotherhood over here. 90% of people on bikes are only on for transportation. I've had maybe like 3 people acknowledge me since I started riding her in February. I don't do either anymore as a result.

I do the 2 finger thing. If they're pretty far like on the other side of the freeway and they wave at me I'll do a hello wave.

I nod virtually anything, even mopeds and quads. But I don't nod to squids, I don't like to encourage bad behaviour.

If I'm in a position to take my hand off the grip than I usually give the two finger arm down signal. Anyone know the origin of that?
Also as a scooter rider who where's full riding gear. I find guys that ride sport bikes wave to me more than guys on cruisers.

Some riders stick there finger up and make a circle when using cops ahead signal (sort of like a make shift old siren light that turns if that makes sense), which can get rather confusing.

I always find a way to greet, sometimes a nod, sometimes a wave, if I know them Ill point or stand on my pegs and make an ass out of myself if possible.

I have a question do cruiser riders nod at other cruiser riders because they don't nod at naked bike riders.

In my area, most motorcycles nod to each other regardless of the type of bike.

For some reason cruiser riders always greet me, but GS riders almost never do

Gs riders are doos's .. But i still want one.

I get nods, and i give nods. But not to delivery drivers. They get too excited and nearly fall off when you acknowledge them

They aren't all bad, only about 99.999% of them!

I also don't give squids and shorts-and-sandals scooter riders the nod.
