Do You Nod?

Do you nod to other bikers?

While on the Move, I give the peace sign. While stationary or slow rolling I give the thumbs up. Head stays focused on the road ahead.

I always wave to other riders, but nod when I am engaging my clutch.

I nod to everyone else who gives me a praise, just to kindly acknowledge them.

There are so many bikes in my city and most of them doesn't know (or doesn't care) to nod to other motorcyclist as a kind gesture.

So in my case I think I'm about 30% nod to others.

But the other way around if I'm touring to another city or just cruising through the interstate, most of them nods, give a peace sign, honking or even say hello at the red light.

Usually a low peace sign. I nod when my left hand is busy with the clutch and I don't want to miss acknowledging someone's awesomeness for owning a motorcycle.

I make an effort to nod and thank cars which have given me a gap.

I try to always nod to a new bike i see but on my morning commute you get to know who wont return the gesture.
So, only them which i dont.

I ride throughout the year (aren't I special) and I always enjoy it when the fair weather riders descend en mass. They're so happy to be out and about, nodding with gleeful abandon. Like a man lost in the wilderness for too long, it takes me a good month to loosen up my neck muscles to commit to a full nod; I'm in full nod mode now. That is of course until all those fair weather cherubs put their bikes away come the winter, and I face the cold dark once again. Nodless.

Gotta love riding on the continent though, people practically do a handstand for you. I feel proper antisocial with a meek nod.

Being in the the states I give the two-finger salute, and a nod if I can't use my hands. I don't discriminate agains any brand, or type of bike, as it's really about the personality of the rider as to whether they salute, nod, or just ignore you. I'm just giving out good will and support too any one on a bike. If they don't like me because I'm on a scooter, or not the same bike as them, that's just who they are.

The laws of physics and the road doesn't care what you ride. For me it's about riding solidarity.

I'll wave sometimes, even to scooters, but only usually during the off season of riding here in New England. At this point in the year though I just don't bother because ya end up waving every two seconds because there are so many bikes on the road.

That's the thing, I live in a city and if I nodded as much as some guys I'd get a repetitive strain injury. There's one guy every morning on his Triumph Thruxton, he loves a good wave. I feel genuinely disappointed if I miss him on my commute. You don't get that in a car!

I'm a fan of extremely obnoxious waving. Gotta get full extension right through the elbow, followed by a 180 degree sweep from shoulder to shoulder, like something out of a poorly choreographed play. Trying to look cool when you wave gets boring. More fun to look like a knob.

Right then chaps and chapess's,

Simple one........do you nod to other bikers?

It will be interesting to see.....

Chars then, The Piston Vlog.

I nod. tend to find that people nodding back depends what bike im riding tho lol

In the States we give the two-finger salute, which could be misinterpreted as something else in the UK. If that's not possible, then a nod it is.
