Do You Lane Split?

That's the only way to ride safely, so I also constantly lane split. I'm in Victoria, Australia.

I lane split due to not wanting to be sat at the back of traffic, too easy for somebody on their phone to crash into the back of us.

We live in the south east and we do it so we don't get rear ended by some fool and we don't have to wait for the slow as cagers to hit the gas when the light turns green.

It's quicker and safer to split, besides it gets pretty damn cold I don't want to wait around longer than I have to

Currently I rarely lane split, mainly because Its illegal in Texas where I live, and I need a good reason to do it. Such as traffic is at a stand still, or I'm at a red light and need to turn right and the yield turn is blocked by people going straight. I just made a video talking some about lane splitting and the petition going on to make it legal in all 50 states in the US. The way i see it, the less time i spend with the other cars during rush hour, the better.

Filtering was the reason I got a bike in the first place. I commute to work every day on my bike and it takes way under half the time it would in a car, especially on the way home as everyone seems to want to get home at the same time here!

I only lane split at slow speeds, never high speeds.

Statistically safer, than being rear ended because you blend into the back of another car infront.
