I do. Perth, Western Australia.
There are no specific laws here preventing it and its formally legal in a number of other states. I filter past police all the time or sit in the middle next to them at lights and they have no issue.

I live in the UK and lane split every day, it just makes my journeys quicker and you are generally given room between lanes where i live to split :D Happy Days!

All the time. I live in california , it's the one law they got right I guess. If it's on the interstate and it's going over 60 then I won't but if it's under no problem, or at most stoplights I'll split. Depends on how much room you can get.

Yup. I live in the Pittsburgh area and I'd say it's more lane filtering and not splitting. If traffic is only going 5 or 10, the cops don't really care if you're doing 10 or 15 as long as you're not getting crazy.

What happens in nazi land when you guys filter or split, but its against the law

Do they impound your bike? Do you get points taken off / put on your licence?
Fines?

I'm guessing you mean Germany Marbro?

If so, i still don't know! I've kept doing it and gradually more with every ride. I've even gone past a few police cars and even met them coming the other way. So i suppose we could say it's no problem. But i still here anecdotal reports of people being stopped, however without any real facts or proof. "This guy i know. .."

My understanding is still that if you're not going crazy and, most importantly, if your filtering doesnt cause an accident, then it's all good. If course if i lane split and somebody swerves to avoid me and crashes into a lamborghini, then I'll be off my insurance companies Christmas card list to say the least!

In the nazi land of Finland it probably depends on the police officers. Haven't been in a situation myself since I do not split, but have heard and read that mostly the police don't mind if you filter stopped cars and do it safely.

But I think they'd just fine you if to do anything about it.

I guess showing some common sense, care and consideration gies a long way. And that they'll never catch you in traffic :)

I sometimes take a detour just so that i can lanesplit ;)

When my head is in the right mood i love to split :)

I live in Western Massachusetts. No lane splitting for me. Too many distracted car drivers for me to feel comfortable with it.

I normally don't as it's illegal here. I have done it in a few emergency situations though.

Oh yes, so much. It's the norm here in my city of Cebu, Philippines. You will get angry stares for maintaining a car space on a two-wheel vehicle (my girlfriend does it, people think it's cute)

I just posted a vid on this, as it is illegal here in BC, Canada. Rather miffed that the gov't can't understand the benefits here. It seems that there is no cogent reason, aside from ignorance, that this is still outlawed.

I figure you guys must cringe watching the amount of lane-splitting that happens here in the Philippines :D I try not to advertise in this forum, but I'm sure my vlogs has the most amount of lane-splitting in all of YouTube
