I use Premiere. Once you get the hang of it, very easy and fast. Adobe Cloud makes it half affordable for all the programs.
I also use GoPro Studio in class with my students (teach grade 8). They like it and it does an awesome job.

Thats what I am going to do as I am muddling through it.

I've used Movie maker, gopro, sony vegas and movie studio as well as all adobe products. I can say after using all of that, once I learned premiere, I was able to do a faster edit just because everything ran smoothly and the hot keys were more intuitive for me. So for a quick edit even, im faster with Adobe. I know not everyone will have the same learning curve but it just makes sense to me.
