Big Meet Up In The UK - Next Year

Really you want to avoid

The TT
Manx
Exams
And people passing their tests

If we meet up, it will have to be 125 friendly otherwise it would turn into chaos. With regards to travling it's not a problem, I'll have my new bike (Possible Saturday) I'm pretty much the middle of the UK just slightly off to the left but there or there abouts. Peak District, Snakes Pass, Devils Bridge.

There all good runs, we all have plenty of time to plan, if everyone threw a suggestion on place and dates you could just keep narrowing it down untill eventually you have it all set in stone?

Just a Thought

im in if you lot dont mind me comeing ill be on a sv650 hopefull just arfter newyears so can mway it to the meet point sod rideing a 125 from london up there lol

Trusting I finally get my provisional licence by then, I'd probably have actually passed my full test (or, hopefully) so I definetly hope I can show up to this too. :)

hope it will be a good ride with a good turn out, never been on many roads north bound especially near peak district

where is the meet up spot cause i recomend matlock bath as on a sunday there is a lode of bikes and then just north are some amazing roads e.g. cat & fiddle and snakes pass

I think we'll set a provisional date at end of this month. Then everyone can say if thats suitable or not. Don't book days off work straight away as it may change

Cat and Fiddle isn't the best road for how many of us there might be.

Cat and fiddle will be rammed with all of us lot let alone other riders on a nice Sunday. Towards Devils Bridge are good roads. and can even go over and across towards the peaks.

Just a thought, would people rather do a weekend ? because I know people coming from the South of Birmingham will have one hell of a day. so maybe a Saturday & Sunday? some people could possibly stay in a tent or a cheap BnB and then a full days fun riding and then commuting back home on the Sunday?

Just a thought

Excellent idea, also means those that can't make one day, might be able to make the other. Or do both.

Can you please put a date of the weekend you would prefer, and we'll see which seems the most popular

Liking the 2 day idea. Loads of great campsites around the peaks, or a travel lodge would be very cheap booked this far in advance :P

6th - 9th April

Good Friday - Sort & Confim?
Saturday - Ride/ Meet everyone (Camp?)
Sunday - Ride
Monday (Bank Holiday) - People won't have to rush home Sunday night (late)

Just a Idea as I know I wouldn't want to be rushing home late on a sunday night tierd and have a 150+ Mile trip home and work next day.

weekend sound very good , but alas i will still be flying the L plate flag on the ybr :/ , so erm it will be like the "Long Way Down" for me lol !

Thats the beauty of motorcycling, When I bought my Rs I thought wow when I pass my test I can go anywhere I want too.

Nope, 6th Gear at 8krpm screeming it's Boobies off I felt like i was sat on a mini earthquake.

A- roads are lot better than the M/way, might not be quicker but is alot more fun. + you can find all these good roads. I went to Newcastle to look at a SV decided when I got there from riding past it wasn't a good a good enough bike so I just turned around and rode home. Get down to Northallerton and ride over Hawes or the A1 it will be a good ride but worth it in the end. :D

Yeah thanks for the advice , ive had a look on the AA Route Planner and that way seems pretty reasonable . I shall find out what a YBR can really do (not that much, but never mind lol) .

So Everyone Agrees to....

I'm liking this.

All sounds reasonable, Friday could be the meet day and people that can't make the meet friday could meet the saturday.

If we met Friday (didn't ride Just met) & Camped'
People that couldn't make the Friday Camp(Meet the camping group, Saturday)
all ride Saturday, All camp Sat/Sun
All ride Sunday and people head home or Monday. ?

Confusing yes I know but made sense in my head as I was typing it. haha,

It will all fall into place anyway, as long as there is a rough guidline on date, location & riders it will all be fine I'm sure.

I know bank holiday weekends are great for everyone else, but i work in a pub so i definately won't be able to get it off, will have to see nearer the time if i can make it for at least one day, but it's looking sketchy!
