Feedback Needed Audio Improvements....

Just a dinky motovlog for you today, I've made some changes to my audio set up, let me know in the comments on the video if you think it is an improvement or not? :-)

In my Shoei I have a wired mic into a Drift and I spent a fair amount of time trying to isolate my mic from my breath and the helmet, mic is currently inside a ball of sponge surrounded by a dead cat.

Video I shot today was a new set up with a Sena 10U linked to a GoPro pack but I don't think it went into UHD mode as the quality isn't great.

Does sound better, but I never thought you had bad audio anyway.

I just bought that same mic and have used it on my last couple videos. But I'm already looking at a different one because of how this one sits in my helmet chin. I can feel pressure from it on my chin. Looks like I may need to get one where I run the wires under the padding, which I was trying to avoid.

I went through a few mics and then tried different dead cats and foam but ended up getting good results when I made sure the mic wasn't in contact with the helmet as I was getting noise transferring from the surface of the helmet.

Worth looking at how it's mounted as well as how well it's shielded from the wind and your breath.

Having just switched to the mic on the SENA 10U the mic sits away from the helmet and gives good sound.

I have a video called:

I was happy with my audio on the Moto Guzzi, it was only since getting the KTM that I started having issues due to how it funnelled the wind up into my lid.
Sorry you didn't get on with it, at least it wasn't an expensive one. Is handy to have as a spare I guess.

I have thought about getting a SENA but I don't really want to strap even more stuff to my helmet.
