Review 2013 Ktm 390 Duke First Ride And Review

I think there must be something wrong with the bike if it won't corner or brake well. The 390 I took a demo on when they were launched was a fantastic little bike and would easily lift the rear wheel under braking. It was a delight to ride. Only criticism I had with it was the slow speed throttle response which was very jerky. The riding position was perfect for around town too.

To an extent, it's true. If a bike doesn't turn or brake safely, there's something wrong. That said, every bike can turn or brake well if nothing is broken or worn out. Even my neighbour's ratty scooter can turn and brake.

But this is a review, I'm nitpicking. I place it on a higher standard than what an average joe expects to get out of riding one, not merely if it can do the minimum needed to fulfill the task.

The ergos are very subjective though, I did mention my height just to give others roughly the same build as me some perspective.

aye, your height may have been the difference in comfort, I am 5'7" so 170cm so a little shorter than you :-)
His bike is 4yrs old now so the tyres/brake-pads/suspension could all be in need of rejuvenating to freshen up the handling and stopping.
