Youtube Subtitles Vs Fixed Subtitles

I really can't decide. I am leaning towards YT subtitles because they can be removed but I like the cleaner look the fixed ones provide. What do you guys use (or prefer if you don't actually use subtitles).

I don't think I have ever used subtitles as I don't ever watch videos in languages I don't understand if I'm honest.

Normally I don't have subtitles but off and on I add them in, but only certain words or phrases that I feel people might not understand, either in local language or sometimes the funny ones. Unless you have a really strong accent that most people cannot understand, I don't think you'll need subtitles, provided your audio is clear enough to be heard.

The YouTube-Generated ones can be a bit iffy at the best of times. I watched a couple of my videos recently and decided to switch on the subtitles to see how it got on with my voice and accent.

All I will say is that I really didn't say this.... o_O

I guess Youtube Auto Generated Subtitles wasn't too good and sentence still not appropriate . so I prefer to create my own subtitles

Yeah I correct the ones in my first video and part of my last one, but that takes too much time for me. If you guys plan on putting them in anyway I guess it depends on what you think looks better.

I would correct the subtitles like Lurch says, instead of putting them in during editing. That way people can choose if they want to see them or not.

Hard code for difficult to hear stuff, like a third party or you've not got your lid on.

Subtitles (YT optional ones) would be suitable for those with impaired hearing. Depends on how accessible you want to be really.

Youtube subs can be terrible, I try not to use to much slang in my videos but coming from north london it can be difficult. Youtube usually guesses the subs wrong which makes for some laughs. I would suggest improving sound quality before subbing :)

I like using on screen text because it helps fill in content when I'm not talking plus it shows what a wise ass I really am...

I mostly use embedded especially because their overlay's don't work on mobile.
