What stops motovloggers from getting arrested?

You know... Those people you run across that 'need to find themselves' .... They ain't too bright!! ... They be right there!!
 
Before I sold my bike, I started riding without my camera attached to my helmet. Sick of people asking if it's for "wheelies and speeding". Granted it's been like that from the start, but most people would ask was it for "insurance purposes or something", with the odd few asking about wheelies. Once the balance tipped and every single time I was asked about driving illegally, I was reluctant to ride with my camera on.

I don't want to be associated with that sort of shit. I don't want people to assume I'm going to speed or ride dangerously just because I have a camera.

The cops will begin stopping riders with helmet cameras, and they will probably pass a law stating that they can take your SD card on the roadside to check. It's only a matter of time, especially as the bigger channels promote this reckless and selfish attitude to biking.

And to answer your question... what stops them from being arrested...? Luck. What stops them from being killed and/or killing someone else...? Luck.

Hahaha, catching up on this topic, like..like...lol... oh friggn type a reply allready!!

Funny readin' so far.

Yeah, i 'try' to keep the totally illegal stuff for 12mnths+ before uploading. Otherwise ill speed-up/slow-down, cut-out background shots, mask Plate/Speedo, stuff like that. Its time consuming, buts its worse working extra shifts to pay for the fine if your careless?
But im not really trolling much in me later years? (cough)

It would also ABSOLUTELY depend, on wether you have alot of attention (veiws), or you could be spamming the crap outta FB, promoting your video??

My every day riding, ill 'politely' (cough) pass by cars, etc. So as to keep 'that' cager from voting anti biker stuff.
Unless their just so anti, that their grinding their teeth at the fact im getn thru the traffic jam with EASE!!

its not really a question of IF or when

its all logical, doing 150 down the road dodging traffic is just asking for it. but then again its protected in some states under free speech or something.

one guy in perth was doing 250kph in his videos on 50kph roads around the street missing cars etc ( apparently ) i never seen the video.

and from there he got in lot of trouble cops came and did what ever it was they did, never heard from the guy again.

I have been contracted by cops several times about my footage, so i know the laws here, other countries i have no idea.

What are the laws in Australia and what content did they contact you about...and what came of it?? I am not doing overtly stupid things in my videos. You might question my speed on occasions, but are they going to try and chase me down for that?

It is an invasion of privacy if they could do that. Even then, it won't take long to develop "alternative" camera firmware to 1- hide the contents of the card or 2- encrypt the whole card.
Good luck reading that SD coppers.

Now, on topic, I sent footage of reckless driving and dangerous situations to the news and authorities here. Nobody cared so I'm clear to do whatever. Speed, wheelies, stoppies, splitting...
