Thought I'd share a quick tip on how I spray my chain by myself.

I have a draw front under the side stand which lifts the front up by an inch or so. Then using and peice of random wood found behind the bins I prop it under the rack and push it onto the front wheel and then wedge the other end on the man hole cover. Then as a spray the chain I can spin the wheel.

I also use the wood when I park on grass.

Center stands are awesome, I've not had a bike with one for an age but they make maintenance so much easier! :)

Had one my fellow riders the other day complaining about the cost of tire changes at the dealership. I used to do my own about decade ago. It was kind of fun balancing the wheel in the kitchen between a couple of chairs. Nothing like wrenching your own ride!

Center stands are useful to check oil level, chain alignment, change tires, brake adjustment, etc

Checking the oil with a bike on a centre stand is not always best, only if it says to do it that way in the manual.... this is because it will have either the front or rear wheel off the ground so giving a different result to the bike being level! :)

That is where HD has their dipstick where it can be check up on a lift or on the kickstand. All they did was have two different ranges. So I bet another dipstick could be modified to do the same. Just check the low level on the side stand and then put it up on the center stand and mark it. Then do the same for the high level.

Avenger 220 Street (my bike) has a sight glass to check the oil level, and the bike has to be completely perpendicular to floor according to the user´s mannual

I like the sight glass because you can see how clean the oil is. Plus no drips if you get distracted like I do!

Certainly for chain adjustment and brakes. Means it dosenit wobble when you do things

That is true though it gives you a rough idea on the levels
