This is something I use when I link my Channel and couldn't find any mention of it on the forum so I thought I'd post the link.

If you add the following to your channel URL the user will get a box asking to confirm the subscription

?sub_confirmation=1

For example:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChI0Bur0KGW9Btwr8UoIjqA?sub_confirmation=1

A word of warning, If the user clicks the same link again they get a cancel subscription pop up.

I've not seen it mentioned here, but have been taken to YT asking if I'd like to confirm I'm subscribing.

Trying to work out if you're being helpful to members or a self promoting genius with this informative post :D

if the wording was less aggressive then it could be very useful, but as is then it is not something I'd inflict on the folk that watch my videos.

Yes I'm aware of that format, and yes it should be used if you have mentioned to click the link to subscribe otherwise it's considered a bait to me, and kinda pointless as if I notice things I didn't sub to start appearing I will manually unsub, and what do you really gain for that other than a potentially pissed off at your channel user.
