I did.. my first bike is suzuki satria FU, 150cc. Some of you may never heard about that bike (Especially if you from europe or US). and sometimes i still ride with it..

No matter how small it is, bike will always be bike.

Have to agree with everyone here. A bike is a bike. And I have most respect for the delivery guys on the smaller bikes as they have titanium balls riding in Johannesburg traffic the whole day.
As long as you ride properly and not like an idiot then it should not matter what bike you ride?

Makes no difference to me. Plus most bikes now are hard to tell what size it would be without getting up close. My R3 doesnt look much different to the R6.

A bike is a bike, we all start off somewhere and we all have different taste to what bike we take out for that ride.

People are assholes. It's the same in any group ...

You have a Honda? It's not as cool as my V8.
You have an Epiphone guitar? Why not get a real guitar like a Gibson.
Oh, you play PS3? Real gamers have PCs.
Oh, you did a 5k? That's cool I guess ... but you should really do a marathon to be a real runner.

You do you man. Ride and enjoy it.

I was told that once so I told them that I did a 20 mile run with over 200 obstacles, during winter, without training...Made them feel a right knob while they were chomping on a fruit stick and protein shake, between the 5th 10 mile training run of the week

A little update. I said earlier in this thread that I considered 50cc manual bikes as motorcycles.
And I can confirm that this is how the majority of other bikers see you if you ride one of those.

2 weeks ago my Yamaha TZR 50cc died from heat or something doing 85kph, I pulled over in the shoulder to let it cool off. A guy on a Something 500 would have stopped and checked on me if I didn't signal that I was fine and able to go. And in the short couple of months I have been riding. As soon as I'm out of town people on GS1200's and other adventurers keep waving. Even when I'm sure they heard my 2-stroke whine as I approached top speed of 70kph.

Bikers are bikers, regardless of size. Until you ask them to deliberately draw a line.

As a rider of a small bike, I'm tired of real life riders out there who (especially in my country) think that riding big bikes are more of an entitlement and/or status parading rather than about riding passion itself - since by law we have to start smaller than a 200cc then progress in the following year(s).

Glad to see you guys are more the other way! :D

My 125 was the best days, trying to get 1 mph faster in the straights.. Trying to get faster/lower round the corner then you just did.. Doing the most cheapest mods possible to prevent the bank breaking.

Getting pulled over once a week for a month straight for random 'checks' and accused you've stolen it until the details they ran under a minute ago come back..

I consider eveything above 50cc and with a motorcycle license plate a motorcycle.

But 50cc scooters and mopeds riders I don't consider as bikers because in the Netherlands a lot of people use it as the stepping stone towards a car. Very few of those people will actually go for their motorcycle license.

I had to start on a 50cc because of my age back then.. It was the best 50' in town ;) looks like this:

I probably would not have considered you a biker. But I when I would see you ride by I might wave because it easy to mistake it for a bigger bike.

But as 99% of mopeds and scooters here in the Netherlands are automatic or even single speeds or whatever, (I don't know anything about scooters) you can't really identify them with (real) motorcycles.
