Hello, I love the whole idea of promoting a video on this forum and I have a suggestion how it can be made better. Unless I've missed something it currently benefits the top poster of the month, which can bring spammers in play (tons of comments with zero value). Have you considered switching to "most likes received". The way I see it will benefit people who help the community the most. Obviously that would still require quite a bit of posting, but still . What are your thoughts?

It's not exactly the 'top poster' of the month who 'wins' - It used to be but it was always the same person for two months running, so we made it a little fairer

The top 'likes' never used to be there until a month or two ago but we are going to include it etc

Nah you're all good, that's what this section is for.

Its always been a balance of a community and spam fest for people to slap videos everywhere etc. Its about trying to find that middle ground

I think Hippo has turned a win down, more than once I think

As Dan has stated, I generally don't count myself, (although reserve the right to if I have a blinder of a vid I want shared)

Related, maybe not. I would never override lurch or Hippos ruling either.

I might think something isn’t right which I doubt but once a mods made a choice, it’s their choice
