Which video editing software

As a total noob to video editing, which simple and cheap program is, in your opinions the best to get going. I'll be filming in 1080p with a drift Ghost. Thankyou.

I personally recommend Vegas. It's not really simple or cheap, but you really will love it anyway. For instructions on how to do anything under the sun with vegas just search on youtube and there will probably be several videos covering exactly what you're trying to figure out at the time.

You could start with windows movie maker to get a handle on what does what and extremely basic editing. Then you can step up into a more advanced program once you get a handle of it.

you can get Sony move studio, its cheap and does most of what you need

You can get Vegas cheap. Search the internet and you *may* get one to download, failing that search amazon or something, might find an older version for a good price.

I use Adobe Premier Elements. If I remember correctly you can get a free trial version from Adobe's website. If you like it a retail copy is only about $100.
