What Have You Done To Your Bike Today?

screw you guys! lol
Did mine yesterday... Took me four hours to get the bloody piston back in! Well, actually it took me four hours to take it all off, get the tools out, find something to put it on, find something to stop the caliper getting scratched etc etc, including having lunch and going for a half an hour "test ride" to make sure it was working... But still.. FOUR HOURS! FML I am not going to be a mechanic lol. In my defence, I didnt have a C-clamp to get the thing in place like you should so I was mainly jumping on it...

You'll get better the more you change your brakes. I think it takes me about an hour. If you can get the pads in the caliper without pressing piston back, the you can use a flat head screw driver to space them apart right before installing the caliper back in the bike. You have to make sure it moves rather evenly though so you wont damage the piston

The whole process is actually easier if you spread the pads out -before- taking the old ones out. It gives you more room to work down in there. Taking the top off the fluid reservoir also makes it infinitely easier to get the pistons to move.

just rewired the hole but end of my bike finally have indicators on the back new brighter led's wired into my old tail light XD i feel good

Bike goes in for her first service tonight... then she'll be all grown up

Finally past the "break in" period? Those days shall always be cherished. 8-)

Yeah - seems odd buying a one year old bike and still having to break it in, but I'll have to reset the rev limit warning lights to something a bit more hairy when I get her back tomorrow :)

Ahhh, sounds fun. 8-)

When I picked up my F4i last year, it was still within the break-in period as well...and it was 5 years old!

Replaced the headlight lamp on my missus CBR600F yesterday. Whoever designed the assembly right in front of the frame needs shooting.

And for my sins my bike starting losing a cylinder on the way to work yesterday. It'll be in my new vid this week as well as me talking about being blocked my M13 hehe :)

drew up some electrical schematics yesterday for some mods =) hopefully coming soon

We're making simplified electrical schematics on CAD right now in class. It's basically what the class is about...so I'm finally learning the rules and whatnot. Can't say it's my favorite thing to do...haha.

So if you need your schematics cleaned up, lemme know. :)

cheers but I'm studying in electronics (so joining as an aicraft mechanic migh not make sence) so I'm good =) I even have a programme for it (which I left at home) but thanks anyway mate =)

No problem. I suck at it anyway haha.

Today I put a big scratch in the tank, just as I decided to sell it too. Its probably cost me £100, in terms of how much I can sell it for.

Ah man :(

How did that happen?

I have done NOTHING to my bike today.. apart from watch it as I depressingly walked passed it to the car.... *Sniffle*

However the mechanic shall be here tomorrow to sort out its extremity issues and It shall be away :D :D

Picked it up from the garage from it's 1st year (and run-in) service. Nice people actually downloaded a new engine mapping to match the Arrow Slip-ons without baffles *ahem* :)

Ride home was too short to tell any difference - I'd hope there wasn't any tbh.

Also received a couple cans of Wurth Dry Chain Lube - so I think tonight I'll be giving my chain a thorough clean and spraying some dry chain lube on her. I really should get a paddock stand for this shit though - rolling it down the back lane one foot after every section is sprayed is a PITA :P

Taking my tank bag off, it must have picked up a bit of grit, or shard of metal.
